Thankfully, I learned from my mistakes and I ended up wifing up an educated, young Chinese woman who had Conservative family values instilled into her at a young age. I don't know how I got so lucky, I don't think I would have found someone who could stand me longer than a few months at best if not for her. I truly believe that people like me are only good at hooking up and having "temporary" friends and family, due to this wretched illness. Every single second is an uphill, excruciating battle with myself and other people.

The best way I can describe it in a few words is to imagine the angriest you've ever been in your life, now imagine the most suicidal depression you've ever had. Times that by 100 and now experience that dozens of times every day, instantly, with no warning, for long periods of time. Any small thing will set it off and in the rare instances you don't feel like that, you feel completely void of emotion and disconnected from humanity. You never feel any form of natural euphoria/endorphins, unless you abuse alcohol/drugs/whatever substances (at least, for me... I haven't felt them since I was a child.) You can love someone in a moment and absolutelyhatethem half a second later. You yearn deeply for companionship but fear abandonment, due to your own past experiences and thought behavior. Simply existing and functioning in society takes everything out of you, while you observe those around you having fun, being normal and forming relationships as if it were as natural as breathing.

It's really awesome to hear how you decided to work on yourself through all of this. I'm so proud of you.

Congrats on recognizing the problem and seeking help.

I've typed out this story like 5 times but keep deleting it cause it's so embarrassing but here it goes. I started dating my first real serious gf inbetween the summer of my 10th and 11th grade year. I had already had sex with a couple of different girls and casually dated some too so I thought I had this whole woman thing figured out.

Trumpwrong.jpeg

We dated all the way through my Junior year and she was a year older than me and went to college when I became a senior. In October of that year one day she just stops returning my calls. Completely ghosted me after a year and a half of seriously dating. Predictably this drove me bonkers but I tried my best to play it cool. I head one town over to the one she's from on a Friday night and this broad sees me (I never saw her) and then has her friend find me and tell me its over. I just kinda laughed and said "Good fuk her" and continued talking to the group of guys I was in. I might have played it cool on the outside but internally I was like this

A couple of months later a mutual friend of ours told me she wanted to get back together with me and to call her. Of course being the 18 y/o ******* I was jumped at this opportunity. We get back together, have sex once and she breaks up with me the next day. My ability to play it cool had run out. I sent her long *******y msgs every. single. night. This went on for a month or two until she had a falling out with her roommate. The roommate calls me and tells me that the only reason she got back together with me was that she was scared she was preggo and wanted to play off the kid as mine and that her and her new bf laughed at the msgs I was sending her. I went NC immediately.

The story isn't over yet though. I go to college the next year and me and a couple of guys got an off campus apt. It was a small 8 unit deal with 2 stories. We checked it out and everything seemed good so we signed the lease and I didn't think about it again. When we move in this bitch is living directly under me. I chit you not. Anyway I paid her ******* bf back 10 fold for laughing at me which I'm not gonna go into because its really fukd up and I'm not sure if the statute of limitations has run but part of it involved me having sex with her multiple times while they were dating. She was LTC, blond and short. I have never since been able to date a woman that possessed all 3 of those qualities

I dont know what she had, but she was on 3 meds. bp,bpd not sure as she never talked about it. dated like 2-3 months. and honestly 4 months later I am still ****ed up. Its going to take me a ****ing year to overcome the **** show she(I) caused.

The problem is im a nice person and too much of an empathy. they dont give a **** about others. they will suck you in and drain everything out of you. I tried looking at the person underneath, as she was really the nicest, sweetest girl on this planet but they are really all about them and only them. Its just like everyone says, you feel bad for knowing them but you feel bad about telling them to **** off. it really comes down to your own stability, its not worth it over someone else's.

And honestly it was a great learning experience. Its helped me grow as a man and what im looking to get out of future relationships and employment.

I dated a woman for two years whom I suspect has BPD and has not been diagnosed. Her mother has it and has been in therapy for it and appeared to find it helpful; she certainly was more stable, at times, than my ex-girlfriend. I had hoped that the family history would have served as a bridge, and; that my ex would have been more open to acknowledging her disposition and eventually engaging in strategies to help manage it. I, unfortunately, neglected to consider the fragility of her ego and the extents that she would go to in order to maintain it.

She projected her own toxicity onto others; constantly accusing the people who cared about her of disingenuously trying to take advantage. She made a routine of poisoning her relationships, one transgression at a time, until they reached a threshold of toxicity and she would then disengage. Each of her relationships, whether it be with a coworker, friend, best friend, family member, me as her boyfriend, etc, was somewhere on the cycle of being slowly poisoned or on a cool down. Eventually it got so bad that the only two major relationships that she was focused on was her relationship with me and her relationship with her mother. I continued to urge her to seek professional help, for her own benefit and for the sake of our relationship, however; nothing that I said could ever penetrate.

I often felt like I was speaking a different language and the absolute inability to effectively communicate eventually wore me down. She was convinced that I was the literal embodiment of every wrong she had been done. Her projection of her own toxicity onto others allowed her to then displace onto them the stresses that her ego could not stand to bear. I spent a lot of time pondering the question of how someone whom was presumed to hate me so much would go to lengths to keep me around and it eventually started to really get to me. I began to hate myself for all of the trauma that I caused and, at that point, I had to get out. We lived together at the time and there was no immediate economical exit strategy. We seemed to have come to an agreement to keep things cool until the end of the month and we would both go separate ways.

Cliffs for the story time ahead: didn't happen.

I was awakened to her viciously mounting the bed and striking me in the face. She gave me a black eye. I hopped out of bed, naked, and found myself cornered against the wall as she continued to lunge at me, screaming and holding my phone in one of her hands. She alleged to have caught me cheating on her (I wasn't - the notification she is presumed to have seen was from my roommate who had forgotten his keys and was in an uber home), destroyed my phone, and then threw it at me as I attempted to cover up and get out of the house. She had me backing up through the living room, trying to get my underwear on, when she ducked into the kitchen. I ran out the door. Halfway down the street I heard the door open, turned to look back, and saw her coming with a knife. Ran all through the neighborhood and lay low while she threw all of my things out of the window.

Someone evidently called the police and they took statements from the both of us. She said that it was just a disagreement that never got physical; I provided my battered face, shattered phone, and sidewalk full of belongings as proof of battery and destruction of property. The cops concluded that, since they weren't witness to the battery, the destruction of my phone, or the depositing of my belongings on the sidewalk, and because our stories were in disagreement, that nothing warranted their actual involvement. They did, however; order me to surrender my key to the house. I complied and left to find a parking lot to sleep in before returning the next day, with police, to recover the rest of my things. She had conveniently tossed everything, including my refrigerator and two car seats, into a neat pile in the backyard, on top of my scooter. Police didn't seem to find any issue with that, nor would they allow me into the house to retrieve any of the specific items that I had not found in the pile. Cut my losses and took off.

At the time I was working at a local high school and she knew that the coming Monday was the first day back from spring break. She and her brother drove onto the school grounds, broke into my truck, and she smeared her literal feces all over the inside of my vehicle and then posted about it on instagram. The school resource officer was mandated to report the crime as it occurred on school grounds, during school hours, and involved a school employee (me). At that point I felt it necessary to get a restraining order. The judge granted an immediate order of protection on my word alone, and the next judge saw fit to extend the order for the year after hearing both hers and my accounts. The last I saw of her was at that hearing. I never wish to see her or hear from her or her family ever again. Both her and her brother are on court ordered pretrial probation as a result of two felony counts, each, for the incident with the truck.

Stay safe.
If a woman ever did anything like that to me i would literally kill her

from my short life experience, what I've learnt is that if a girl ever does anything weird or says smething out there no matter how hot she is how good she is how good the sex is what you do is you grab your keys get in ur car and drive far far far far far away and never ever look back no matter how "good " or amazing or anything she is. Not worth running your life.

But usually, likes attract likes. So if you're a pretty normal dude it's unlikely you'll meet women who are cooked

I think I may have slight BPD (serious). Also I think my ex had BPD, reading this thread. I'm not exactly sure. Maybe that's why it was so hard to get over her? What are your thoughts? Just going from a website (Symptoms);

Having an unstable or dysfunctional self-image or a distorted sense of self (how one feels about one’s self)

yes, she had extremely low self esteem issues/self worth issues.

Feelings of isolation, boredom and emptiness

not sue

Difficulty feeling empathy for others

yes 100%. I remember she was from NZ and when I was with her I told her about how the NZ shootings occurred (remember the terrorist attack) and she didn't even react she was just like oh well. WTF?
Or another time I hurt my arm real bad and she didn't even care.
Or when I was feeling sick real bad and freaking out (stomach ache etc) and she didn't give a fark.

A history of unstable relationships that can change drastically from intense love and idealization to intense hate

yes, she falls in love very easily with men.

A persistent fear of abandonment and rejection, including extreme emotional reactions to real and even perceived abandonment

yes, she can't handle rejection or criticism at all. also extremely clingy.

Intense, highly changeable moods that can last for several days or for just a few hours

yes, was super energetic sometimes, then told me she cried because I didn't take her out? wtf.

Strong feelings of anxiety, worry and depression

probably

Impulsive, risky, self-destructive and dangerous behaviors, including reckless driving, drug or alcohol abuse and having unsafe sex

yes has sex with random strange men all the times.

Hostility

err kind of?

Unstable career plans, goals and aspirations

er not sure, thin she was studying something last time I heard from her

My mum has BPD, I once dated a girl with it and have spent time in mental health facilities and befriended numerous people with BPD.

It’s awful. Dead-set, if someone tells you they have BPD, do everything your power to keep contact with that person to a minimum. They’re erratic, always have some form of victim complex, abusive, violent, narcissistic, hyper emotional, inability to handle any form of criticism, try drag everyone down to their level, and just generally have sociopathic tendencies.

It sounds awful, but, from my decades of experience dealing with people with border-line traits you should avoid getting caught up them with lest you wish to make yourself miserable.
