I don’t understand this at all. I live in an area with a few confirmed cases of Corona and it’s a total joke to everyone. Like literally making jokes. It’s actually weird how blasé everyone is.

I went to the grocery store and Costco this week and both were dead & fully stocked. I don’t know if people are just ordering everything online but they certainly aren’t queuing up to wipe out the stores like a plague of locusts.

My costco is out of alot of stuff and has limited most things to 5 per card.

Others Costco have reported people taking toilet paper from the restrooms after they've run out

It feels like the end of the world here. But really it's just idiots.

I went to a local warehouse type store after work today and the only thing I noticed they didn't have was the frozen broccoli I needed. They had tons of paper towels right near the front doors. Didn't go back to where toilet paper was but should have looked just out of curiosity.

Wife went into Dollar General and there was plenty of TP and hand sanitizer there.

It wasnt Costco but the local grocery store restocked and have lots of the popular items again.

This. I posted earlier itt about getting the last bulk water and last tp bag they had when I was there at costco, not to prep but because I normally get it there but later that night I also went to Albertsons and they had tons of both.

Yeah completely normal here in the GTA. I actually needed TP and paper towel so I probably looked like part of the problem but like others in here, I'm confused what having all kinds of TP is about.

Definitely not too worried but also taking precautions and making sure not to compromise immune system with alcohol or other bad choices till it passes.

Didn't believe this thread, and then was at Target today.

No TP, bleach, or anti-bacterial wipes. Didn't check hand sanitizer.

Target does a real bad job with inventory though. Worse than WalMart. Not uncommon to walk into a Target on a Sat morning here and shelves are empty. But aisles were empty which is uncommon.

Just went to Sprouts and Walmart yesterday for our usual grocery shopping. Sprouts was fully stocked and just fine. Walmart looked like it got looted in some sections. No rice at all! Most canned goods gone. Not a single cup of noodle or top romen to be found. Water was just being stocked when we got to the isle.
Luckily we don’t purchase any of those items, but damn. It’s insane.

Luckily we had gotten our TP from Costco end of last month during our monthly Costco run. We have filtered water from our fridge. Just crazy how people are acting. Not to mention the price gouging on line for things like hand sanitizer and soap. $299 for a 20oz bottle of hand sanitizer on amazon wtf!?

sure, that's why they've quarantined millions of people and shutting down boarders in countries, then shutting down every shop, school that people have been confirmed virus cases in.

I have no idea I thinks it's a Costco thing. I wasn't buying it to prep or anything but it was the last one. Few posts back I mentioned also going to Albertsons later and they had everything in spades.

Check south korea's results, no death under 30, very few under 50, most under 60, of 30000 people (might be more) only 1 % death rate ; I know out of millions that's a lot but that's not enough to make TP disappear, China did all that to maintain reputation, that's the Chinese's government, you can see a very recent documentary about China if you youtube "The real China they don't want you to see"

You guys aren't realizing it's not about fatalities and death. It's about what will happen if it gets to a level where companies and stores are having their employees stop working. What is going to happen if retail stores close up? Where you going shopping then? Even if one or two close... Then the third will be chaos. Everyone is dumb as ****... If nothing happens. But if it does then those who do nothing are the idiots.

Maybe some of you haven't been there, but I remember hurricane sandy and not being able to get gasoline, having no heat and power. I remember working at costco then... people going insane over generators, people trying to sell em for 5 grand in the parking lot. I had to wait 5 hours to get some gas one day. i don't blame a single soul for prepping cause when or if it gets there its completely ****ed.


I ain't fear mongering, do what you feel, but I'll be damned if I'm gunna get caught off guard again and go thru what I did during hurricane sandy. Worst case scenario... Nothing happens and I don't need to buy water or tp or anything for quite a while. No harm in being ready.

My grocery store was fully stocked on water this morning. I don’t believe we have any cases of coronavirus in my state yet. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t seem to have affected our stores yet.

Youre probably just a terrible prepper. Aint nobody need a fookn generator during a crisis. Whatever perishable you have, that chits gone't.

Lemme know when your power is out in October /November in the northeast and tell me your ass ain't cold as **** bro. **** was out for 2 weeks. I worked outside at the time so I was just cold 24/7 sitting in my car to get warm. Food and water wasn't an issue. Heat and power were. Even if you had a generator you had 5-6 hour waits at the pump, sometimes even longer.

That **** was real. Like I said. If you ain't been thru some kinda disaster you really won't get it.

Nah I don't need to go through a disaster to get it.

Again it really sounds like you aints know how to preps. If heating were such a problem, people who lived back then in the cold aints make it to today.
