Dude your spirit sounds pretty good given what you are dealing with. Props to you and be strong, you got this!

Veggie, do you know if you guys are using chloroquine and/or hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 patients? Asian countries are supposedly having amazing results with it.

we def are not. our current treatment is supportive of whatever complications arise such as PNA, mostly airway/breathing support if they're that sick and IV fluids

OP.

Did you test Positive for COVID19 yet? Your cough was productive and NOT dry.

You could simply have common bacterial pneumonia and it got bad because of your many preexisting conditions. You work in hospitals were it is extremely common.

My mother had a bacterial pneumonia in the U.S. from December 2019 to January 2020. It was just that, a pneumonia and NOT COVID19.

I'd like to share your info, but I can't until you are actually legit infected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Until then, this thread could be very misleading.

I'm in quarantine too. Can we be quarantine buddies?
Not in the ICU, though. My symptoms were mild compared to yours.
Should get test results tomorrow.

Got tested on the 12th.
They tested for strep, pneumonia, bacterial infection and the flu, first. After all those came up negative and due to a few other factors (husband traveling for work and coming from a hotspot) they decided I needed the test.

Whatever this is is one of the worst respiratory infections I've ever had. The fever and chills and the chest pain is ridiculous.

What does severe mean under difficulty breathing? In severe cases?

I had a "flu" with shortness of breath and chest pain about 3 weeks ago but it only lasted like 3 days, do u think i had corona?

My doctor said it's usually paired with O2 levels dropping.
And apparently Corona lasts 10-14 days.

Well, no way for me to know if my O2 dropped. But I don't think I had it very bad, just a lot of dry coughing and some chest pain/shortness of breath

10-14 days sounds crazy. How old are you if you don't mind me asking? You getting better already?

32.

My shortness of breath actually made me pass out. Had an O2 of 91 when I finally went in. It would drop when I coughed, but because it wasn't persistent they just sent me home (urgent care).
I feel like I'm getting better? The cough still sucks and has me gasping for air but I'm not entirely lethargic like I was.

I honestly doubt I have Corona, though. But I hit all the flags for it so they were required to test since I work with immunocompromised adults. More than likely I got something from my kids being at daycare.

Yeah not a medical expert but from what I've read about corona if you're 32 with no other health issues it shouldn't be hitting you that bad. That said, there are always exceptions. Hope you feel better

I'm technically immunocompromised since I've had cancer a few times.
I also have a history of PEs and severe coughs can apparently muster those babies up.

I'm fine, though. They didn't send me to the hospital. Just gotta sit at home and hope we don't run out of food.

That sucks to hear, if you made it then we're all gonna make it.

Random question but did you feel really good before passing out? I've only passed out from low o2 once and before it happened I felt like I was high on ******* lmao

I have had a constant cough for probably 5 years now.

That feel when probably lung cancer and wish it was corona virus =(
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.
