Bodybuilding is ****gy. This site confirms it basically. Also an athletic physique looks better and is overall more desired.

Honestly, I wouldnt care about the build because I'm smart enough to know that build has very little to do with fighting ability. Any moderate fighter would not be scared based on someone's build. It would be embarrassing for you to carry this alpha persona to get your ass beat by a guy who looks normal or most likely you would pussy out.

Even if you personally don't respect him and/or think it looks ridiculous. And even if a large portion of the population thinks that. I guarantee you someone with a physique like that gets more attention/flattery/respect then you ever will.

Dude has a net worth of 4 million dollars. Because of his physique. His day consists of lifting, hanging with his bro's and marketing products through social media. How can your life even compare? Are people approaching you offering you contracts/business deals? Do you get paid to take a picture with someone's product?

You want some biscuits with that jelly?
lmao

I'd still 100% rather be Conor. King of the world for a couple years, making millions, making a living punching people in the face and making investments

Imagine how great it must be to have a career that makes you focus on your physical health being optimal. That is NOT body building for sure lol

It's hard to say they are delusional when they are competing in an international sport. I don't think most people can or want to be that big, but they clearly know how to do it and aren't doing it by accident. They're getting to size by objective standards, and comparing themselves to other big guys.

Dysmorphia is more (imo) when you dreamer bulk and just get quite heavy (I did this. Up to around 300 lbs and realized...well, nobody cares I can squat 275 x 20...I am just big).

So, just being a regular guy I thought it made a lot more sense to lose the weight and try to be healthier in my 40s.

Dysmorphic women get so small it's scary, and sad. People do die from anorexiaOr if they recover, they may have seriously injured their thyroid and then get big and have awful depression.

Body image issues suck. I just don't think bodybuilding is really the same thing because they actually ARE being objective about their size.

For people who don't compete, idk what to say about the wisdom of their methods as far as long term health goes. That's for them to manage and I couldn't comment. I personally want to be more muscular and have more size, but probably will be staying between 195-225ish at most in waves, forever.

I don't want to get too heavy again because losing the weight was hard AF.

It depends on why you are doing it - it can be used to build a platform to build yourself as a brand and develop a social media following which both lead to sources of income. Seth Feroce talked about it a while ago when discussing why he no longer competed... and look at him now building his brand.

Arnold saw it as a gateway to realize his ambitions of fame and fortune - and was quick to downsize for movie roles once he gained some traction.

If you're doing it just for vanity or because you really believe being big makes you better than everyone else then I agree you have problems.

And then lost it all? No way you gained 30lbs of muscle on a 12 week cycle - I see that you said bloat as well, but it is likely you gained 29lbs of glycogen/water retention and 1 pound of muscle if you actually went up 30lbs on the scale. It's sh*t like this that gives the unnatty world such a bad rep

I'm just saying I think if the average person had a choice, they'd rather fight someone less muscular, after skill, strength might be the next important factor in a fight.
