Didn't the northeast get a very late freeze? Thought I heard something about that. Could have knocked out some fruit production.

You get some really good pics.

Nice thread. I haven't kept an active feeder for a minute. Place I lived before this wouldn't allow them.

I enjoy the sound of doves and can recognize a few birds by their calls. Always think of cardinals as lucky.

I think goldfinches were my fave when they came around. And bluejays are common but fun to watch if you put out some whole peanuts in the shell. It was like a busy airport when I would put peanuts out in the morning and you could watch them land various places and peck away at the shells.

I've actually seen 3 or 4 toads and one squished one this spring. More than I've seen in a long time, though I remember them being very common. I think that was before we got fire ants here.

saw the female oriole this morn

yeah, with the late cool weather , the flowers are slow so they at the feeder , once it warms up they will move to insects

if you want goldfinches you have to put out a sock filled with thistle

they sell the socks

have that as well

Orioles are well-liked bird species for its strong blend of colors, orange and black, easily seen from afar. You can use Birds Choice Flower, It is very colorful so it attracts orioles even from afar, design is simple but very decorative. Select foods that Orioles actually eat such as fruit, jelly, nectar.
