yea, let me preface this with I hate racism, and think the media makes it 100x worse than it was. A few years ago after that kid from Baltimore died (can't remember his name) I was walking home around 2 am drunk af, and got jumped by 8-10 black guys. Ended up in the hospital. Lived in Atlanta, nothing terrible, but I was often referenced as "the white guy that wouldn't last". And I've had conversations with my liberal friends where they say, you wouldn't understand you're white, and I'm like 1) I can't understand something based off the color of my skin? kinda racist 2) ive experienced a great deal of racism in my own life. Having said that, im not ignorant enough to think all black people are bad. I have tons of black friends, I just think the media sensationalizes events to create a further divide. racism is an equal opportunity offender

Don't bother bringing logic, their victim complex is the only scapegoat they have to blame for their own failures and choices they made and they're strangling it with a death grip. Hard working, competent, and talented blacks are idolized and revered by all(NBA, in tech, etc.), but apparently that's not enough.

See, you busted your a$s, faced many adversaries, had bunch of haters only to break through that from sheer will and determination dripping with blood, sweat, and tears to get to the great socioeconomic situation you are right now. Your own hard work and dedication should not be discounted by claims of some boogeyman white supremacy keeping you down. Now of course some have it much easier than others, but that's definitely more due to socioeconomic advantages/nepotism than race.

I also had help. Not everyone in my situation or the situations worse than mine do have help. Some people go down the wrong path due to circumstances that are beyond their control. That's a reality of life and the world we live in. Not everything is achieved and succeeded due to "hard work"... hard work isn't enough in a lot of cases

At 18? I was out of my parent's house at 15. My extended family and my wife's extended family has people who are deadbeat nobodies, despite their parents having money.
