George Floyd thing was one of the only ones that i can think of where i thought the Police were 100% in the wrong and there was absolutely no reason for that guy to have his leg on his neck considering the fact the guy was already in handcuffs and his stomach. Its almost impossible to get up when you are laying down on stomach and handcuffed with hands behind your back.
And I havent met a single police officer who agrees or finds a gray area regarding Floyd. Funny how that is right?

i dunno why anyone would even fight a cop in the first place, even when drunk. The only thing that comes to my mind is degenerate attitudes. Your just making it worse for yourself in the long run.

Its a good thing the police shot him, if he just let him take his taser and try to shoot a police officer with it and hes able to just get away with no consequence theres no tellin what he might do after that, could rape or kill someone

but it won't. When you've got libtard glasses on, everything looks like racism/sexism etc. When you've got a victim mentality, everything looks like you're being mistreated.

You're right, black people don't have to follow the law anymore. Wait wut

brb talking to police
brb "You're under arrest"
brb starting a fight with police
brb grabbing weapon from the officer's belt
brb running
brb turning to discharge the stolen weapon towards police

If only there was something that could've stopped this, but I just can't see it.
I mean, maybe he had to win the initial fight or steal the pistol instead of a taser, but otherwise just no way to survive an arrest like this. And even then he'd have to noscope two people while running, really unfair. SMH my head

Watched the video and as much as brooks is an idiot imo it was not a situation where the use of deadly force was justified. The cops like was not in serious danger and nor were the lives of any bystanders, the bloke was just a drunk idiot and they had his car, license plates etc could easily have found his address and nicked him for the DUI later.

Let's not do our jobs and let him get away, that way when a member of the public gets hurt by him or the stolen weapon he was yielding, everybody is happy right?

Nah. This is a clown world. Glad this disgusting man is off the streets. I'll be praying for Officer Rolfe's family and hope he is compensated heavily for losing his job and being plastered and defamed on the media.

I don’t think arresting someone for a DUI is more important than preserving a life. He might be a dodgy bloke but he’s certainly not done enough wrong to warrant his own death

So if he car jacks someone with that taser and then they get in a pursuit cause they let him run away then what?

He had a police issued taser on him. Would you be ok if the cops threw up their hands and said "meh, let him go" and then he tased and raped your mom or aunt/sister/whoever? Or tased some innocent person with a bad heart and caused their death?

First, "arresting someone for a DUI is more important than preserving a life." in hind sight that's what happened but I'm sure the officers didn't think when they were getting ready to arrest him that they would have to shoot him not even a minute later.

When the officers were in pursuit, he turned around and fired the taser at the officer. Had the taser hit, the officer would have been incapacitated. Since Brooks already stole a taser, what makes you think he wouldn't have stolen a firearm from the incapacitated officer? Yes, the taser missed. But there were only milliseconds to make a decision.

There were so many points in time that Brooks could have realized what he was doing was stupid and a DUI arrest isn't worth dying over. Unfortunately, he was not capable of coming to that realization.

Good thing that is just your opinion because case law and department policy’s use of force continuum clearly allows for officers to use force on a subject who displays intent to harm an officer. The level of that force is directly related to the totality of the circumstances.

You have a DUI subject who very likely could have killed someone driving home.

He got in a knock down drag out fight with officers.

Made the conscious decision to steal a weapon

Then decided to flee after previously showing intent to harm and proceeded to use (albeit ineffectively) said stolen weapon against the police

At this point he is guilty of felony charges and is fleeing. See my previous post about him potentially using that taser to car jack a random citizen

And you can clearly see how the use of deadly force is justified to eliminate a threat to not only the officers but the public as well

Herp derp. Atlanta DA charge officers for using a taser last week and specifically stated use of a "deadly weapon."

Atlanta was a beacon of black business. It will be destroyed now. Police will smooth lay down and do the minimum required to remain employed. Leaders publically attacked every color of cop in the matter of a week.

And if he stole it?

There's literally dozens of not hundreds of variables cops have to juggle at any one time. This is true of any profession really, we just don't realize it or get to see the whole impact. Accidentally hitting "send all" is about as bad as it can get for 90% of people sitting in a chair criticizing these cops.

Can you talk our politicians into voting a law in that releases us from the duty of arresting arresting dodgy blokes?

so since tasers aren't deadly and a punch isn't deadly should a cop not shoot you if you punch him?

what about a nut kick?

what if you chokehold the cop but stop when the cop taps out in order to not kill him?

i think cops need to be trained more for these situations. can't just shoot people if they're trying to batista bomb you
