Back in the day everyone was executed by a noose. Not just blacks. Yes some blacks were executed just bc they were black just like some whites were executed with no trial. History is what it is. True people were killed by a noose. But in American history the noose has a different meaning to the white experience and black experience. If you put it in context of banning confederate flag, him getting alot of hate for it i dont see it as getting offended so easily. If you look at it from bubba's perspective i can understand where he is coming from. His crew found it, reported it and had an investigation. Nascar stepped up and did the right thing and treated one of their drivers with respect and looked into it and now we can move on. All the drivers came together and supported one of their fellow colleagues which is great. We all need to try and see things from other people perspective and differing experiences.

i think it is because there have been differing experiences unfortunately in this country based on peoples color, culture etc. i dont think it is such a bad thing that nascar thinks about all of its drivers and fans and make changes as needed.

You're not really making sense. It's not hard to see where he's coming from and it still is ridiculous. It would have taken all of 1.5 seconds after seeing what looked like a noose to contextualize it and realize it's just a rope to pull a garage door down. This is literally the same thing as walking into a hotel room and thinking the Klan was there because there are white sheets on the bed.

That's what kcadrenalin is getting at - people are literally LOOKING for racist stuff to be offended by. It's a horrible mindset and honestly probably damaging to black America. That is how bubba found out abiut rhe situation. Has a hotel presidentever called u crying about some sheets?

And in your opinion people are looking for things to claim racism about. Maybe they actually perceive them as racist and you just dont see it. From your experience these situations might not look racist but from their experience they are seen that way and they are starting to speak up about them to show. No hotel president ever called crying about some sheets, because it's absolutely ridiculous so thank you for validating the notion that the NASCAR president called crying about a garage door rope is equally ridiculous.


I don't see it because a ****ing garage door rope with a knot tied in it isn't a racist symbol, and anyone that sees it differently is suffering from a form of derangement. And to reiterate the point, I think it's extremely unhealthy to view everything as potentially racist, when in reality there was no racist intent.

As far as not blaming Bubba, I get that, at first. He didn't see it, he didn't report it, etc

But it would have taken him two seconds to look inside the garage and say "oh, that's a pull loop".

He knew it wasn't a noose. He knew it was a garage door pull and that every garage door in the complex had one. He knew NASCAR has the best security money can buy and redneck klansmen don't have access to those garage doors.

In spite of all this, he went on TV and when asked about people who were calling it a hoax or misunderstanding, he said those people were ignorant and racist for even questioning the authenticity of the charge.

He's the one who committed a crime. False reporting of a crime is a crime.

On top of that, every other NASCAR team and the organization jumped in to virtue signal and call their own fanbase a bunch of racists.
