Too many people sleeping on Clipse.

Easy top 3 rap groups ever and it's not even close.

Hard to say Clipse is Top 3 when you have groups like Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, BTNH, ATCQ, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, The LOX, NWA, Black Star, Westside Connection but I will give them props. Hell Hath no Fury was a great album.

Ppl confusing great artist with great album in this thread.

2001 is a masterpiece for sure. Kendrick deserves a nod. I listened to most of Nas's music years after it came out and a lot of sounded kind of boring, but as an artist overall he is brilliant .

Outkast get a nod, Wu-tang too. 2pac. Doggystyle is good.

My personal top three would have a Kanye album, maybe Common's Be album. Maybe a De La Soul album, so hard to pick just three. DMX,Ludacris

Very good shout with the common be album. And agree with your point, Kanye isn't the best rapper but he makes phenomenal music. Best discography in hip hop imo.

Kendrick changes his tone very well. One of the most versatile rappers. This is old kendrick before he started doing that high pitched voice

Hhhmmmmmm do you mean the tone of it?

Thats beside the point though, his use of similes, metaphors, alliteration and the way he compliments a beat and raps like he plays his voice as in instrument make him a stand out.

Skip the intro on this and listen to how he tells a story about a night out, he's more poet and storyteller than rapper.
