It acts as a LITERAL fuking magnet for ANY covid to stick to the mask and stay there until you've contracted it yourself.
You stupid fukers keep saying that "wearing a mask isn't hard" and "it takes 2 seconds to put on". But what you dumbasses don't understand is that the CDC and WHO on top of local governments aren't telling people to treat their masks as if the masks themselves are swarming with covid as well as other germs!
Fact of the matter is that 90+% of people don't disinfect their masks enough, and many of you retards think the mask actually filters the virus...
WEARING THE SAME NON STERILE MASK MORE THAN ONCE IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN NOT WEARING ONE AT ALL!
Any little moisture droplets that accrue on that mask will still be there when your dumbass touches your mask to take it off. Those droplets will still be there while you're wearing your mask and breathing in and out for how many minutes or hours..
Also, these masks don't create an airtight seal around the edges. Air will take the path of least resistance when you inhale and exhale. Air will literally be funneled in through the non sealed edges and will take the path of least resistance straight into your chitbag lungs, and when you exhale they will then blow straight out the sides of those masks onto your neighbor walking past you, standing next to you or walking behind you.
In my honest opinion using basic logical reasoning, the lack of disinfecting and general misuse of masks can be more dangerous than not wearing them at all.
So when you say "Wearing a mask isn't hard". You're forgetting that the physical act of "wearing" a mask means absolute dogchit if that mask isn't constantly being sterilized, and treated the way they were meant to be treated.
Wearing masks may protect people from contracting the disease by way of reducing DIRECT spray from coughing or sneezing. But they could also be causing people to contract the disease in other ways, simply because they are moist, warm, virus housing magnets.

You could throw a sheet of plexiglass directly between your face and the person you’re interacting with, it would accomplish the same thing. An airtight seal isn’t required, the sole purpose is to provide a physical barrier for your moisture droplets to splatter on instead of spraying on the people and environment around you
And if everyone is wearing masks, you don’t need to worry about cross-contamination because everyone else’s droplets will also be confined to the area immediately surrounded their faces. The next step is to ensure you’re cleaning / sanitizing your hands after touching your mask to ensure you’re not transferring your germs from your mask onto other surfaces

If this thing were airborne, which I don’t think is the case, there would be no stopping it but wearing masks would still probably slow the rate of spread by eliminating the droplet route and limiting the spread to airborne transmission

Also, nice attempt at not even trying to counter argue my last statement about the mask being a moist covid breeding ground that nobody disinfects and yet still touches it a dozen times a day.
Basic Scenario:
Joe ******* masker puts his dirty, non sterile cloth mask on after picking his teeth, so that he can walk into the gas station to get a drink. Joe P grabs the filthy door handle to walk into the gas station, then walks 2 ft past some random person so that he can open the fridge to get his peace tea. He then walks up to the counter...(Joe P by the way has touched his mask to adjust it at least twice now)
Meanwhile, ******* cashier touches Joe *******s peace tea with his bare hands so he can spin it around to scan it. Joe ******* then swipes his germy credit card in a machine before punching the rubber numbers on germy machine to pay for his peace tea. Joe ******* then walks out of gas station, rips his filthy covid saturated mask off and then HANGS IT ON HIS MIRROR before opening his peace tea that ******* cashier touched with his filthy hands to scan, and takes a big swig before turning on his music and driving away.
Joe ******* has now touched 4 items (minimum) that hundreds of people have already touched that day. On top of that, he has failed to disinfect his credit card, his wallet, the door handle to his prius, and the entire can of his peacetea. On top of that, Joe ******* has now hung his nasty covid infested mask on his rearview mirror, which he will then grab again shortly so that he can go into the dispensery to get his "meds".
Game over
You really this fukin braindead?

it doesn't prevent it but it reduces the amount of exposure, and this has been proven at the beginning of the whole social distancing stuff. people in close proximity of someone with covid would get it with severe symptoms, but people in the same room who just get some exposure don't get it or get it and have significantly minor symptoms compared to the person who was exposed to more of it.
but if someone with covid isn't sneezing or coughing it should be fine without a mask. but a lot of people like to cough or sneeze like ****in animals hackin away everywhere

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) told Reuters via email that wearing masks is recommended as a way of strengthening social distancing, but they do not have data to measure how this affects the risk of transmission.
“CDC can’t confirm the accuracy of the numbers reflected in this image. Currently we are not finding any data that can quantify risk reduction from the use of masks”, a CDC spokesperson told Reuters.

lack of evidence/data does not mean that there is no correlation. it means that there is no data to support either choice, not just the one that you want

You want to talk about why people look at Americans a certain way. Look at yourself. You're beating a dead horse you mindless ape.
Most peoples masks are MAGNETS for the virus. Nobody treats them properly and they are more than likely spreading the virus all the same.
Also. How much of a mindless goat do you have to be to blindly listen to the cdc when only a couple of months ago they were telling EVERYONE to not bother wearing masks at all. They pulled a complete 180 in less than 45 days and yet you're still listening to everything they say blindly. Even without substantiated data..
I'm not denying that the masks in very specific situations may stop a possible contraction of covid. But for you to ignore the fact that the masks are not being used correctly, and to also try and shame non maskers for a decision that is not backed by substantiated numbers is just ridiculous and honestly appalling....
Simply slapping your mask on when you go out in public doesn't do or mean chit dude.

Masks and respirators do not work.
There have been extensive randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies, and meta-analysis reviews of RCT studies, which all show that masks and respirators do not work to prevent respiratory influenza-like illnesses, or respiratory illnesses believed to be transmitted by droplets and aerosol particles.
Furthermore, the relevant known physics and biology, which I review, are such that masks and respirators should not work. It would be a paradox if masks and respirators worked, given what we know about viral respiratory diseases: The main transmission path is long-residence-time aerosol particles (< 2.5 μm), which are too fine to be blocked, and the minimum-infective dose is smaller than one aerosol particle.
The present paper about masks illustrates the degree to which governments, the mainstream media, and institutional propagandists can decide to operate in a science vacuum, or select only incomplete science that serves their interests. Such recklessness is also certainly the case with the current global lockdown of over 1 billion people, an unprecedented experiment in medical and political history.
Precautionary Principle Turned on Its Head with Masks
In light of the medical research, it is difficult to understand why public-health authorities are not consistently adamant about this established scientific result, since the distributed psychological, economic, and environmental harm from a broad recommendation to wear masks is significant, not to mention the unknown potential harm from concentration and distribution of pathogens on and from used masks. In this case, public authorities would be turning the precautionary principle on its head (see below).

How about you look at something from actual medical doctors?
We understand that some people are citing our Perspective article (published on April 1 at NEJM.org)1 as support for discrediting widespread masking. In truth, the intent of our article was to push for more masking, not less. It is apparent that many people with SARS-CoV-2 infection are asymptomatic or presymptomatic yet highly contagious and that these people account for a substantial fraction of all transmissions.2,3 Universal masking helps to prevent such people from spreading virus-laden secretions, whether they recognize that they are infected or not.4
We did state in the article that “wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection,” but as the rest of the paragraph makes clear, we intended this statement to apply to passing encounters in public spaces, not sustained interactions within closed environments. A growing body of research shows that the risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission is strongly correlated with the duration and intensity of contact: the risk of transmission among household members can be as high as 40%, whereas the risk of transmission from less intense and less sustained encounters is below 5%.5-7 This finding is also borne out by recent research associating mask wearing with less transmission of SARS-CoV-2, particularly in closed settings.8 We therefore strongly support the calls of public health agencies for all people to wear masks when circumstances compel them to be within 6 ft of others for sustained periods.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA
Erica S. Shenoy, M.D., Ph.D. (associate chief of infection control unit)
Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA
Since publication of their article, the authors report no further potential conflict of interest.

Since I can't quote you without bb.com ****ing breaking:
You keep posting links that are MONTHS old by unqualified people. I understand that you have a serious confirmation bias, but holy **** stop going back and forth on what you say. Do you really not understand how posting stuff when the pandemic was in its infancy is a serious issue with your entire "masks don't work" argument, which you keep saying and then post links saying masks don't work. There's something called science, which gets better as time goes on, but keep posting the infancy stuff. It'll make you look smart to certain people, I guess. I show you a video giving video evidence and explaining how they work and you double back to the retarded nonsense that you're still doing. I'm honestly surprised you haven't said anything about being forced to wear one being against your constitutional rights, which has also been debunked.
A mask doesn't need to be airtight to be effective.
People can wear and use masks properly.
Someone not using proper cleaning of the mask does not make it more dangerous than not wearing a mask.
Someone can buy a mask that is able to be washed.
Someone can not touch the parts of the mask that you breathe through.

Simply slapping your mask on when you go out in public doesn't do or mean chit dude.
Yes, it does. And it's more effective in confined areas. It's even MORE effective when combined with social distancing and proper hygiene. Oh, and here's you saying they don't work, AGAIN.AcetylCoA gets reps

Anti maskers:
Masks don't do chit!
Also antimaskers:
The mask is full of virus particles and so is dangerous when you touch it to remove.
So which is it? Lol.
Just wash your fukkin hands. Also, wash after you wipe.

I love it how some people would go to such great lengths of arguing on internet forums, protesting in the streets, doing extensive research online just to find sources to back up their already established claims (instead of researching that maybe they are wrong). So much time and energy wasted on something as simple as wearing a $0.5 mask for literally couple of minutes to reduce the spread of a deadly virus. I admire the amount of free time you have and the freedom your country has given you...you can be a demented moron dangerous to the rest of society yet you are not sanctioned in any way.

Just LOL @ your angry replies. It sucks living in fear, brah. Sucks thinking that every fukking human being and their mother are potential virus carrying lethal weapons.
Maybe open your mind brah and thinkwhyyou are so afraid

You should never make decisions when under stress or in emotional situations and people like you have been in that state since March.
But what sucks the most is that you're actually mad that other people are not scared sheep like you.
