Teenage cartoons date all the time on tv. If this counts as sexualizing kids, then every single cartoon with characters that have crushes or start dating people is sexualizing kids.
Also, the main character is 14. If you weren't tryin to at least finger fuk sloots at 14 then lol @ you. And if you were, it sure as chit wasn't because of Johnny Bravo.

This is ridiculous.
Sexual attraction shouldn't be part of any children's show, gay, straight, or bi.
If you let your kid watch this garbage, you are an absolute piece of chit.

Srs I believe that LGBT should be included now in the parental advisories for all programs so that parents can avoid that if they want. How many adult programs are still on that don't have some kind of LGBT story line? Now it's showing up in mainstream cartoons?
For the people who think it is no big thing you should be aware that being a Disney cartoon means that more kids will see it, even if their parents may not want them to. And the people that let them watch it will probably have no idea that it is even an element of the story. They will just think "oh, it's animated from Disney...should be okay for kids to watch."
And, no, I'm not an LGBT basher of any kind. I don't approve of pushing sexual content on to kids.
I've been less worried about my daughter watching movies that are rated R for violence/language than for sexual content. I can't take scary/gory movies, but her dad watched that stuff from a young age and wasn't bothered. She never has been either. And she knows about "adult" language and what is and isn't okay to say. So, I've heard her cussing (almost 15), but only when she was gaming online with friends and didn't know I was around. lol

This is like when my parents took me to Hell Houses (haunted houses for crazy people) complete with graphic reenactments of abortion and suicide but would only let my siblings and I watch films edited to remove sex scenes from the fundamentalist rental movie place. I don't think the Disney princess story is particularly healthy either in general. I think it has been nice to see more female characters that take care of themselves instead of waiting on a handsome prince to save them. Of course we should have male characters that do the same.
Re: violence of course it depends on the age of the child and the level of violence. A lot of movies that were rated PG when I was a teen would likely get an R rating now due to changes in standards. There are a lot of fun action adventure movies that are tagged for violence.
Nudity could be something disturbing (graphic sex, sexual violence) but most often it is something minor (character going skinny dipping, taking a shower) or something played for laughs and I'm not about body shaming. IMO Europe is healthier in that regard.
Sexual content is almost as weird. A scene that let's you know that the characters are having sex can be a minute or less of low light kissing and groping, or a minutes long Showtime type "everything but the naughty bits" mini porn.
Specifically about my kid, well it is just her. People are different. I can't watch really graphic violence without feeling it badly on some level. She just isn't like that. Decided a year or two ago that she wants to be a mortician. She has a stronger/more dominant personality than I do also.

I've made some long posts in other threads. Essentially as far as input other than from parents it should be related to health and necessitated by the age/development of the child. So, yes, I can see the case for school to teach about puberty, pregnancy, birth control, stds, etc. when kids are of an age that they need to know that. Prior to that maybe stuff about privacy and ownership of their body and what is/is not okay with regard to how other people treat their body.

Has anyone ITT been able to show how this show pushes sex over similar cartoons? Maybe I skimmed past a wall of text somewhere.

Were you all equally offended when Bugs used to dress up as a female to lure Elmer Fudd? Just curious.

I have zero hostility toward people either being born different or choosing to be different.
Gay relationships can be both- okay + not normal. Being outside of the norm generally makes life harder. Doesn't matter too much which norm.
Too stupid or too smart = problems.
Too ugly or too good looking = problems.
FWIW I buy into the idea of a spectrum from 100% straight through to 100% homo. And people can fall into all points in between.
People generally tend to conform to their group because it is adaptive to do so. You know how you don't want your kid to start associating with thugs? Or you hope to get them into a good school so they will know the "right people" to be successful?
So long as the group norm is to be straight being something other than straight will be a complication. Right now the LGB crew seems to be getting co-opted by a spooky trans children/possibly pro ped0 segment. Weird to not want your children mixed in to that crowd?
I don't think children are generally thinking anything about sex at all before puberty nor do they need to.

If about 5% of adult mainstream entertainment was made up of LGBT characters I would likely never have stumbled into the idea of any agenda being enacted. Instead it is 10%. At least.

I could be wrong but I believe that the Disney channel was a channel for kids. Is this not being shown on the Disney channel? Do they have some other channel for older kids?
I think most parents and grandparents see "Disney cartoon" and think "okay for children". Maybe that isn't true anymore. But if so I hope there is some really obvious banner at the start of the show or something because aunts and grannies probably don't differentiate cartoons by age groups.

Can't just think cartoons are all for 5 year olds, even Disney. Caretakers are SUPPOSED to supervise after all, not toss the kid a remote and say go nuts. All shows have a rating when they come on TV. Most ignore it.
