I honestly believe the mega wealthy and the mayor/governor will come to an agreement. They will announce they will reduce taxes by a small amount and after the election the corona hype will end and they will all come home. NYC will then gain its tax base back and the taxed will feel the government made a concession and it will be wrapped up. Just lol at thinking it's dead.

Truth is if the city is a temp chit hole and you have a Hamptons home + summer vacay why would you stay in NYC? Wait for it to blow over and then go back.

I really like my area here on eastern Long Island, but the entire state is phuked because NYC has a stranglehold on the state's politics.

I cannot relocate at the moment, but in 5-10 years I see myself moving near my cousins in the York/Lancaster PA area
