What's the best angle to record form from? I'm gonna my record top set on Sunday. I'd love to see if there is something I could improve on. My bench has always been weak.

Although this is a bench thread, OP how do you help shoulder impingement? I have some in my right shoulder. Don't feel it much on bench, but more on incline. I've never had this pain before, so I don't know what's good stretching for it. I want to fix this because I don't want to give up pressing.

To explain the pain: if you did a lateral raise, with your thumb below your pinky, you would feel it in the shoulder at the end of the movement.

From the side and angled a little from the front. But it would help if you could get your top three sets, each from a different angle. Maybe one from the side and one from slightly above.

Hey thanks a lot for the tips man.

One question, my bad if it already has been answered, didn't go through all of the other pages.

What are your best tips/tricks to tighten your traps and keeping your shoulder blades together? Basically setting it up, other than the lower body like you explained. With the gyms being closed and all I have sort of "lost" that technique, or I simply dont feel like it feels correct.

This is what I had from pitching...

I just did broom dislocates and swiss bar (neutral bench) until it was gone. It never came back. It did take a solid year or 2 though. It was so bad I couldn't put my arm above my head.

This helps you pull them down into a good position. Also pull the bar apart, squeeze and pull out to the sides like you're trying to stretch it out the long way, and then turn your wrists like you're trying to get your palms facing each other. THis should help with keeping the lats and shoulders pulled in and tight. Try not to shrug your shoulders, you want your traps to be down.

Thanks for the thread OP. I’m trying to hit 315 PR right now maxing at 265.

Will definitely try clinching that lower body tight af and keeping elbows in. I think I can get there with some practice

No program I just make sure to bench 2x/week I had a long plateau, doing incline only for a good 6 months helped. I got to 225 incline which was massive for me confidence wise.

I think if I got more serious following a program would be better than free stylingdo you recommend any programs?

5/3/1 is really simple and it works. I would suggest you try it out.
