Household income of 90k and one of you is drudging on laundry and cleanup and the other acting like a house pet

Not overly impressed

You get old quick, don’t waste it
My income is anywhere between 60-100 (heavily bonus based) I work longer hours hence doing less chores, but still take the bins out and they kind of stuff

Depending on differences in income I'd say regular expenses can be good to split 50/50 as they are easy to make a good agreement on in advance. Other expenses like food, soap etc I'd try to split in a less strict natural way. Like in the start of my relationship it was clear that I ate a lot more then my gf, so we tried to make it so that she payed for food roughly every third time. However we didn't count every expenses, we tried to find a natural balance where noone felt cheated. Sometimes however it might end up a bit unbalanced (probably tipped both ways on different occasions), then one of brought it up and we tried to even it out again.

I think this was a good idea because it also makes you able to gauge the other person, if she consciously tries to cheat you then she is not a worthy life partner.

We where both student during our early relationship, so we were on even economical terms.

Edit: I see now that you earn quite a lot more then your gf, if you split expenses 50/50 she is probably scraped. I guess it really depends on the regular expenses, if you rent and the rent is not high then close to 50/50 might not be that bad, if it's your mortage your paying down then I'd feel bad for charging her with half of your loan expenses.
