QE is child's play. Of course the dollar isn't going to devalue in a period of time like this, simply because the dollar is the reserve currency. And considering that certain world economies are in the process of Dollarizing entirely, this isn't going to stop anytime soon.

If we ever reach a point where the Petro Dollar disappears though, then there will be wild runaway inflation and chit will become interesting.

I'm not sure this is that likely to happen.

-Biden isn't going to be president until jan 20th, so its at least that far out
-A bill would need to pass the (possibly) Republican senate
-So far all lockdowns have been at the state level. Not sure if federally there is police powers to enforce this mandate. What federal organization will do the arrest? If commerce clause is used, how is it reconsiled with Wickard v. Filburn (1942), United States v. Lopez (1995), and United States v. Morrison (2000)?
-Very shaky to somehow do an executive order. Even a leftist judge would probably put it on hold or throw it out. Which is maybe the plan? Appease the mask-ers with some political theater?

I voted for Biden knowing he'd probably enforce another lockdown, but at some point you just have to let it do it's thing. I can tolerate a little more of the quarantining and what not, but once the Spring hits I really don't care any more. We're not going to eradicate the virus, and it's not going to just disappear, it's going to spread and mutate and yada-yada, until it merges in with the seasonal flu every year.

The article claims the reason why the last lockdown didn't work is because it was not uniform, which implies that in order to improve on that, a national, uniform lockdown is necessary. The 250k cases will be due to rapid testing, but the vast majority of those will be nothing more than sore throats, headaches, etc.

Brah, you are in GA? Pls vote republican in the runoff. The very best thing for our country right now is legislative gridlock, as both Rs and Ds have lost their mind right now and need a few years to cool off.
