Lawyer. For FY2021 I'll make $200k+ base with up to $50k bonus. Salary increases are lockstep and go up every year by a set amount (assuming you are not fired). Went to very selective universities for both undergrad and law school and worked hard to maintain a high GPA at both. Pretty cookie cutter / conservative way to make it to upper middle class+, but it worked for me.

I wouldn’t say I’m super successful but I had a job in a furniture hub guaranteed 40 hours and some overtime and I had a part time dock job. I saved up enough where now I can work full time on the dock and pay all of my bills and still eat good.

And yeah, someone once described being a lawyer as "doing homework for the rest of your life," which is probably the most accurate description of my day-to-day tasks.

Should be north of 250-260 this year based on last years EBIDTA targets, but I haven't seen the final auditors report yet.

I picked the wrong field and never had much direction career wise. Been stuck in the 40-50k range for a while as a tradie. I’ve thought about teaching myself web development but it’s so saturated not sure if I’d even make more than I do now. How does someone get into some of these blue collar high paying sales jobs, and other successful jobs I see in here. I don’t have any university degree and just a degree at a private college for computer graphics many years ago. What do you think are my options to get something better guys.
