All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

IF is the schit. I also really buy into what you posted. Evolutionarily speaking, human digestive systems have evolved to adapt to periods of feasting and fasting. It simply has not evolved to be receiving calories all day long.

First meal at noon.
Sometimes something like a few eggs in the later afternoon.
Last larger meal at 7pm.

feelsjohngoodman.ping

I admire those of you who stick to OMAD. Do you get used to the hunger? How do you prep a large meal that fits all your daily macros? Seems like it would take a lot of prep to get down right.

Thats the point of OMAD.

There's a difference between hunger when you haven't eaten and hunger AFTER you have earlier that day.

2nd one is a lot worse.

Not sherrif srs. Any meal with some meat, beans, carbs (pasta, oats, rye), cheese, fruit and nuts easily accomplishes this brah.

The correct answers are as follow: fasting has benefits that go way beyond the calories, low carb has benefits that go way beyond the calories. Running (actual running, not casually treadmilling or stair mastering) will get you ripped up even though each run only burns 200 calories or w/e. Above all else, genetics is king.

Food quality matters a lot and IIFYM is bullchit. IIFYM is for juicers who partition everything to muscle and for sloots who don't care if the weight lost is in fat or in muscle.
Fukking excellent post bro.

Would just add jump rope master race for dat der HIIT. Or any type of HIIT as long as the heart gets working well.

It does make a difference brah. Even if overall calories are the same. Check this video @ 12:40.

OMAD is amazing for cutting.

I've been doing various types of IF since at least 2007. Helped me lose 80lbs and keep it off for over 10 years now.

But for bulking...I gotta eat multiple meals a day.

OMAD is perfect for everyone and every situation. It's easy to hit your calories and macros in one meal. Eating 200 g of protein in one shot? No problemo. I mean what's the big deal?

Started eating once a day about 3 months ago or so. During the last year I tried a few different things to shed some pounds and nothing really worked. Within two months of doing this diet though, I lost about 15-20. Haven't weighed myself for over a month so I don't know where I'm at right now but i have cheated quite a bit since it works so well for me.

My number one favorite thing about doing this is how much more time I have each day. Making 2 or 3 meals everyday and doing the dishes is time consuming. After about a month I was adjusted pretty well and to echo what other people have already said, I can't imagine going back to eating 3+ times in a day. it even seems weird to me now. Like people are largely excessive about eating for sure. I decided to try it since a few people have suggested it to me throughout my life. I even heard that Terry Crewes does it, so that was one of the final pushes to get me started. But i never checked to see if that was actually true.

I love OMAD but after about a year I did notice that it stopped working as well and that my body had adjusted/metabolism slowed down a lot. I just took a two week break from fasting but am back at it today, usually eat around 6 pm. I will say when I first implemented it in Fall 2019 I got the leanest I ever have.

Damn good point brah. I totally forgot to mention about the time saving. Plus it's not just the cooking time for multiple meals but also the time spent thinking about the next meal after the most recent one.

Yeah exactly, it's like our days just revolve completely around food.. It's like you're always thinking about one meal or the other
Originally Posted By Ravishing_Rick

Sometimes, for a little added spiciness I will have an early meal, say at around 1pm or so on one day.. then the next day I will try to see how long i can go before eating, and wait til about 5 or 6, thereby having fasted for over 24 hours.. Does that particularly help? I'm not sure but what's interesting is that it doesn't bother me, like I don't feel a lack of energy or anything, my body is just used to it..

edit: And yeah, I never went crazy and tried to do it for more than a day. Will I? I wasn't planning on it but I might try it..

Fasting is legit mayne. Like right now I haven’t had food all day, but as soon as I get home, I’m getting in nutrients and calories hehehe. I’m much more laser focused when in a fasted state. Of course the caffeine helps, but still I’m not groggy from eating so much early in the day.
