eyewitness accounts and stories are complete bullshiit for a rigorous evidentiary standpoint.
not a good analogy, we don't have military footage of mermaids

There’s a theory out there I think is pretty plausible that these things are actually decoys/holograms of some sort that are projected by some sort of advanced [human] technology.

Think about it: they flick around at wild speeds like a laser pointer (simple analogy), they don’t seem to have mass (no splash upon impact with ocean surface), unsustainable trajectories for a structure of mass, no overt heat signatures, etc.

Not saying it’s impossible that these suckers are physical craft, or even of extraterrestrial origin. Just a theory I dig and seems most plausible.

The questions become: if this theory is correct, who on our planet has this technology? And why/what are they capable of aside from trolling the military with these hijinks?

I could be wrong.

Why are ufo videos always taken at night with some sort of night vision? Aliens are asleep during the day?

These ufos are fake af

These stories are becoming more and more prevalent. It's only being taken seriously because the government is finally acknowledging it, this type of stuff has gone on for years tho

It's not military technology. It literally cannot be.

This is what we had in the 80's

This is what we had 10 years ago

You're telling me, we suddenly discovered a technology which allows us to fly with zero signs of propulsion, accelerate and decelerate under hundreds of G's effortlessly to supersonic speeds without any audible sonic boom, submerge under water, and give off zero heat/energy signatures under IR vision?

The second industrial evolution ended decades ago. While we are currently undergoing a digital revolution, that has little effect on the development of physical sciences on the large scale.

The only alternative explanation to this is that literally dozens of relatively low ranking Navy service members are working in tangent with the government to lie to the public for some nefarious and arguably useless reason.

I imagine that alien civilizations like to keep tabs on developing planets and once the creatures on that planet reach the stage of spaceflight, the aliens start taking them seriously. We're probably just being monitored. Eventually when our technology is advanced enough, perhaps they'll invite us into the club and we can use their mass effect relays and travel the universe. I am excited! Beam me up, kunts!

You're clearly wrong here.

"Einstein's theory of general relativity mathematically predicts the existence of wormholes, but none have been discovered to date. A negative mass wormhole might be spotted by the way its gravity affects light that passes by.

Certain solutions of general relativity allow for the existence of wormholes where the mouth of each is a black hole."

https://www.space.com/20881-wormholes.html

Thats not to say i believe they exist or don't exist or are possible. Just pointing out that you're clearly wrong in this regard. You said there is zero evidence or theory behind it but Einstein would disagree with you if he could.

Spoiler!
Wormhole theory
"Wormholes were first theorized in 1916, though that wasn't what they were called at the time. While reviewing another physicist's solution to the equations in Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity, Austrian physicist Ludwig Flamm realized another solution was possible. He described a "white hole," a theoretical time reversal of a black hole. Entrances to both black and white holes could be connected by a space-time conduit.

In 1935, Einstein and physicist Nathan Rosen used the theory of general relativity to elaborate on the idea, proposing the existence of "bridges" through space-time. These bridges connect two different points in space-time, theoretically creating a shortcut that could reduce travel time and distance. The shortcuts came to be called Einstein-Rosen bridges, or wormholes."

"The first problem is size. Primordial wormholes are predicted to exist on microscopic levels, about 10–33 centimeters. However, as the universe expands, it is possible that some may have been stretched to larger sizes.

Another problem comes from stability. The predicted Einstein-Rosen wormholes would be useless for travel because they collapse quickly.

"You would need some very exotic type of matter in order to stabilize a wormhole," said Hsu, "and it's not clear whether such matter exists in the universe."

But more recent research found that a wormhole containing "exotic" matter could stay open and unchanging for longer periods of time.

Exotic matter, which should not be confused with dark matter or antimatter, contains negative energy density and a large negative pressure. Such matter has only been seen in the behavior of certain vacuum states as part of quantum field theory."

Theories aren't evidence, they require evidence to prove or disprove them. What evidence is there that wormholes exist? Their mere possibility is not proof of their existence.

I admitted in my post about the evidence. My point was that while Einstein was working on his theory of GR his math predicted wormholes as possible and he took it as being legit being that he continued to work and collab with others on the idea.

So saying there is no theory behind wormholes is clearly wrong.

Agreed. And boy would it be neat if they're real and usable for travel.

You never played any of the X-Com games? If you were Aliens and you wanted to take over a planet without killing the local population you'd instill a shadow government with cloned Aliens that look like humans. It's the only reason I can think of where they wouldn't want us to know they visited.

According to this guy who was in charge of the Pentagon's UFO program, he was told that these things are "demonic" but I don't know what that means. I don't know if he's saying these things are actually demons flying around, or if they're being piloted by demons, I don't know. He didn't elaborate.

His point was that he was looking to dig deeper into what they were and a higher up let their personal beliefs get in the way of that by saying "they're demonic". Basically saying higher ups who are religious or anything else were impeding on his wanting to investigate the sightings whether because they're irrational or don't take it seriously.
