Nope. There have been a dozen mass shootings in Chicago this past week alone. They redefined what mass shooter is. It's a specific and legal definition, not opinion, set forth by the DOJ.

But that might have a different definition of "mass" shooting. I'm pretty sure statista uses that btw. Need to compare and see. Either way, I think you'll agree it's not something one has to pray for. It is fairly likely a mass shooter is white.

Interesting that black people only represent 13% of the country yet commit 17% of the mass shootings, compared to whites representing 73% of the US yet committed only 53% of the mass shootings. And this is WITHOUT considering all the gang shootings, lol

Pretty sure that most of the posters in this subforum will tell you that those stats are fake. For instance, according to them, the 8k or so annual hate crimes posted there can be dismissed as entirely fabricated because of the 425 fake hate crimes that are listed on fakehatecrimes.org dating back to the 70s...

Portland doesn't sound like an appealing place to visit to me, with it's high crime and violence. Hope the rose city does something about their violent woke mobs.

Hope too that it cools down. Saw the weather forecast for western Oregon looks extremely hot with temps over 110F in some areas.

If that's a mass shooting, then I bet blacks commit the most or at least a huge chunk. That being said, for the larger scale mass shootings, most of them are white. I think we both already agreed on that one.

Most hate crimes are not sexy so the news doesn't report it. The ones the news want to report on don't pan out. It's strange and causes divisiveness.

Most "hate" crimes are poor ignorant people in the heat of the moment and a foreign person as a target. Been a while but I went to a seminar.

I'm interested to see if this black dude punchingvasian people is really a thing at the end of the year.

TV as it were. It's just sad inner city violence is straight ignored. It needs the same attention so it could have a response.

We're all a combined force against violent crimes in metro areas. Poor ATF dudes and even a few National Oceanic Administration dudes are arresting felons in cities.

Can you imagine getting booked for murder by a guy that investigates commercial fishing lmao?

It would be nice if we could get both parties together and actually agree on some sensible takes. I'll admit the dems are horribly long on many law enforcement issues, and the fact that the overwhelming majority of cops went red should be a sign. It should also be a sign that republicans are wrong on science issues since the overwhelming majority of scientists went blue. We can find some common ground and look at the issues that make sense. The partisanship is the problem. "Trump can do no wrong." "Biden is perfect." etc. Can we just all admit these people are chit and do what makes sense for once?

San Francisco is trying the lax approach, and it is getting exactly the results you'd expect. Higher crimes, and people are less safe.
