We’re the same age broseph. I also wonder how obvious it might be that I am literally drunk but how else could I get through the fuking charade? The whole thing?

But why can’t I get through it without being blasted? It’s a hugely painful and miserable feeling.

I'm sure everyone can tell unless they're only concerned with themselves, which could be. Only solution might be suicide. I think about killing myself pretty frequently, to be honest.

This.

I'm going through a bout of depression so this all hits home.

OP, what do you think you're coping for with the alcohol?

(also, how's your ankle feel?)

I mean I can’t say I havent had those thought too.

My ultimate plan is to check into an ER if it gets too bad. Wouldn’t be the first time. I would recommend the same for you bro. Sometimes just allowing yourself to get help from someone can feel really comforting and make you feel so much better srs

Yeah I watched my brother go through all of that chit. It's completely worthless. No one cares. In the end he's still dead.

Oh. Not really sure what you mean since now you’re talking about your brother. Seems like we shifted gears. Can you talk more about what you mean here? Srs. Just for now chill and try to relax

Nice excuses to keep drinking. This will ruin your entire life. Extremely predictable course of events where you will end up. I’ve seen it so many times. Get help or suffer the consequences of alienating your friends and family and dying alone and miserable (srs). Alcoholism is a progressive disease. Admit you have a problem and get help to fix it before it’s too late for you.

For what it's worth man, this thread and Ausaric's the other day have really helped me with some depression I fell back into. Srs.

Oh yes absolutely. I expect myself to end up with Korsakoff’s eventually. It’s definitely a downward spiral. I fully admit that I have a problem, but there’s no point for me to seek help. It doesn’t matter if I’m dead or alive. I basically just don’t want to cause my parents any distress.

But then I realize I can feel better and try harder, and it sometimes works. Anyway keep trying

That's a relatively new spot. I swear driving around and finding spots is a lost art now. I love it though.

I'm down. I try to skate everyday. I don't even care about skill at this point if I just had someone to skate with that would be life changing.

For what it is worth, even if you are not a tubby, you can still hate the way you look.

The thing is, people who care about the way they look, really care about the way they look.

Example, I only have a six pack instead of the the eight pack I have had most of my life. Not twink status either. 18 inch arms at 180 lbs/>12% bf etc.

Won’t take my shirt off in public. GD know I’m the best looking most fit person around, but in my mind I am fat piece of **** who should not even feel comfy leaving the house.

To a degree this could be related to psychological issues like narcissism and Adonis complex. But that doesn’t change the fact people who care about their appearance really really care about their appearance.

I will never ever be happy with the person I am. This includes physique, but also other mental and personality characteristics as well. (Discipline, integrity, selflessness).

This isn’t some type of self pity party or anything.

It just comes down to I am not the person I want to be, or the person I know I can be.

And in order to achieve that thing, I have to accept that, then make the changes.

I’m just using a lot of words to say I (and I’m confident a lot of other people here) will empathize with you in our personal dissatisfaction, regardless of what we have already achieve.

One foot in front of the other, one day at a time.

Slip, gotta start over.

The wonderful thing about staring over is we can do it anytime, as many times as we want.

And that is what we have to keep in mind.

No matter how far off our path we have gone, we can start over. We can start over every day, every hour, every moment.

Man what a gift. We don’t have to lay down and lick our wounds. We have the ability to just do what needs to be done. And if we miss that opportunity, literally in the very next second we will have another one.

We just have to grab one of them. Make progress, then if necessary grab another one.

Applies to OP and sobriety, oh man, did you have a drink today even though you wanted to quit?

-well, I already drank, might as well keep going.

-I know I just drank alcohol, but I can start over right now. I have that gift every second of every day.

know i'd feel a bit relaxed. tempted to do it now. only reason i don't and this is why i've always only done once a week max but it kind of clouds my thinking the next day

its like a general negativeness. only 1 day and it goes away after a little bit

That’s something I find surprising how you don’t have people to regularly skate with. Even living in a relatively remote place there’s actually a surprising amount of skaters here.

I know it’s hard to organize them as you get older but damn you got no homies that can’t organize themselves for a sesh?

I basically just go to spots by myself. I'm pretty reserved. I can usually make friend if I go to a skatepark though.
