Seems like completely chit policing. They don't check a suicidal guy for weapons, berate him & threaten him, and ignore his threats? Jesus christ...

There's some tiny guns and some big shoes. Pretty much every cop video I see, the cop heeds when the suspect says he's armed. But I think he said he had one in his pocket too

Terrible situation all around. Knowing ahead of time that he was suicidal and full of pills, the cops should have had him cuffed and sent to hospital to get stomach pumped and then admitted into the psych ward on a 72hr hold possibly. If he checks out fine then you lock that fukcer up for the DUI and other stupid offenses. That's gotta be on the Sgt for fukcing up so badly but the family will sue and win a nice sum of tax payer money and all will be forgotten since the guy was more than likely a burden to his family and society anyway.

First two cop brahs handled it with like normie, standard issue level of cop dickishness. The third guy who shot definitely escalated chit. For dealing with a dude who's wasted out of his mind for 3 hours, I give the other two cop brahs a B+ grade. Other dude looks like a chitbag.

From what I see, junkie brah is going for an officer's gun and isn't packing anything himself. But A. don't officers have retainment holsters? and B. how's a cuffed dude with his hands behind his back going to grab a gun?

Why is this even a 4 page thread? Jay**** is a known race grifter/cop hater and never has anything relevant to say. He’s a waste of good air tbh.

This happened a long time ago and the cop is still on the force because it was a good shoot. Case closed.

You can see him trying to grab the gun out of the cop's holster. Apparently he was suicidal. He got what he wanted. It's always easy to judge a situation when you're not there. But if he had got it out and start firing, anyone could have copped a bullet to the genitals at his hand height. Fuk losing my ability to creampie HBB's because of a pilled riddled incel. Instinct kicks in and the quickest option was a headshot.

Sucks for his parents to have to see that though, but then again, better to see it than not know how he died in a bunker full of cops.

That's a Glock 22. It costs about $450, it fires .40 caliber Smith & Wesson rounds, and it is the most popular police weapon in the US. The 40 caliber round is very heavy, more powerful than 9mm rounds. Many people may not realize that even the relatively light 22 caliber round is very lethal, so why does the police use a 40 caliber handgun?

The reason is that Glock supplies the police directly, and it is also very popular with criminals. Also, once a service weapon is sold, it can last for a number of years, preventing the need for further purchases. So, the solution is an arms race between police and criminals with increasingly higher calibers, more deadly ammunition, and more advanced weapons. This allows for constant innovation and steady revenue for Glock and other arms manufacturers.

If you bought a car, and you never drove it, wouldn't that be a waste? The same logic is applied for weapon sales to police, military, criminals, insurgents, and more. There is an incentive to use the weapons and ammunition that has been purchased. Especially as weapons and ammunition will expire or become outdated. There is a real financial incentive for these people to use their weapons to kill other people.

Something interesting is that police are not legally obligated to public duty doctrine as per Warren v. District of Columbia. This is also called duty to rescue, which is the legal obligation to help or rescue someone in danger of death or injury. The popular motto, to protect and serve, is not a legal duty or obligation. I would not be surprised if there are officers with noble intentions for their community, but there is also a real incentive to kill members of the community.

One of the most important market tests for a new anti-personnel weapon is performance in real-world situations. If the gun is used in real combat and is proven to be effective at killing people, then the organization is much more likely to adopt and purchase more weapons. This applies as much to police and military as it applies to criminals and insurgents. Videos like these are as much marketing for Glock as a popular hip hop song that rhymes the brand name in a verse.

Not everything you said is wrong but the “more powerful round” argument is just dumb and wrong. The 40 doesn’t do much more with terminal ballistics than the 9. The FBI adopted and recommended it because of its superior performance through automotive glass, and many police departments followed suit.

Reality is 9mm is enough for almost any task. Lower recoil impulse, quicker follow up shots on target, and shot placement is the ultimate determinant of threat mitigation, not caliber.

ETA: There’s a reason most departments are going back to 9mm or 10mm if you talk to the alphabet agencies.

Buddy I think you might be sick in the head.

Sometimes I think the whole country is sick in the head.

Not sure how anyone can look at this situation and think anything went right for anyone.

Sometimes I think it has something to do with the mass genocide of men, women, and children for cash rewards during colonization.

The colonization of North America required the largest genocide in human history, and this has largely gone unresolved as people continue their modern lives.

Is it surprising that a country that deifies people who owned slaves or murdered children for money would also deify mass shooters and trigger-happy police officers?

It doesn't work like this in other places, but those other places are not America. So much goes wrong here because so much wrong has been committed.

Part of you wants to see history take its rightful course, but another part of you cares deeply for the people caught between it all.

I can say that I love America and Americans, but how could one love something so abstract and violent as the government?

It's a beast not born from the sick and desperate settlers, nor was it born from the soil of the land we call home.

It was born from the ghost of a previous empire, which was carried throughout the history of the West.

It does battle with similar spirits from other corners of the Earth, especially as we approach a historical conclusion.

This spirit of blood and conquest is ultimately suicidal in nature.

We can only hope that humanity can survive its exorcism.

The guy weighed about a hundred pounds soaking wet and was wasted, and you're telling me he managed to get a gun away from a cop - while surrounded by three of them - and there was no way to NOT shoot him in the head to resolve it even if he did grab a gun?

Ridiculous. And one more example why dealing with police in the States is a total crap shoot and people hate cops. No pun intended.

He should probably not do drugs and also not take guns away from police. I dunno I typically try to avoid drugs and avoid taking guns away from police and it's worked pretty well for me so far, just a thought

He really did grab at the cop's gun. There are other video angles of the incident you can look up.

That being said, I'm still not sure it was a good shooting. I feel like competent and professional police officers should be able to process an intoxicated individual without any situation occurring where lethal force is necessary. They were playing stupid ego games with the guy. "Give me your shoe."

If a man is intoxicated, and in handcuffs, the police should be professional enough to process him without killing him.

Even if he grabbed at the gun, or grabbed it, first of all, he wouldn't be aware enough to know how to turn the safety off (if it was even on) and he has two cops standing over him that immediately grabbed him. There was zero need to shoot him, especially directly in the head.

I don't care that a junkie loser is dead, but these cops should be embarrassed that a hundred pound junkie managed to get one of their guns and they had to kill him instead of subduing him.

Being a cop doesn't give you the right to just execute someone like that. It should be an absolute last resort, and the fact he declared he was going to kill him ahead of the shot and even took his time to aim shows that it was totally unnecessary.

"don't grab the gun!"

Good call, he definitely heard that. If it wasn't the point blank shot most likely rupturing his ear canal it was definitely the bullet to his skull that ensures he's perfectly able to heed this warning.
