Yeah I don’t know a ton about him but former NYPD cop and opposed by the socialists was a good sign IMO. Hopefully you’re right. He might be able to get the crime under control and get the city back on track as long as he isn’t corrupted by his party.

That is the tough part. The city has seen such an influx from liberals from other parts of the country like Nor Cal due to the technology companies coming here. Thankfully they might get silenced overtime. Recent polls found that blacks and Latinos supported Adams by a lot while he got the least support from whites of any other NY candidate running that was in the leading 4.

IMO, I think that this whole thing is just an act so far. De Blasio wants to seem like he is on top of COVID as he leaves the city as its worst mayor of all time, poor ol chap just wants to seem relevant. When Adams comes in, this whole thing will likely get brushed aside and things like homelessness and spike in crime rates will become top priority.

You really think another lockdown isn't in the works? No wonder so many people were dumb enough to get vaxxed.

Another lockdown does seem unlikely, I think very likely they will just require everyone to be vaxxed and the people who cannot do it will get ostracized to the point that they have to order groceries, workout at home/at parks, and forget ever going to bars. I just do not see another lockdown coming.
