Being accountable for one’s own actions. Imagine thinking having sex does not have biological repercussions..

The women that don't abort and don't have the means to support their children are a seperate category from women that don't want a child. Those women can give their child up for adoption. This isn't an either or situation.

I'm not saying any solution is simple. I am saying this false dilemma of it's either abortion or welfare is, in fact, false.

There are couples that have been waiting years to adopt a newborn infant. The demand is very high and you must be vetted, with one condition being you can financially support the child.

Abortion doesn't do anything about women that want to keep a child they can't afford. The ones that can't afford it and don't want it can adopt the child out.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

This.

Last time I checked condoms are 50cents at every gas station across America
No good..?
If you are not ready for the responsibility & consequences of having sex.. don't have sex
No good..?
In America there are 36 couples waiting for every one adoptable child.

No more excuses.

How do you say that, yet also be the same person to say "muh freedumz" when gun laws, or some other laws come into play?

Consent to sex is consent to its biological repercussions.

I assume the woman gave consent to the penis going into her.
I assume she understands that sperm can meet egg and create life.

And please don’t give me the “rape” argument. That accounts for less than 1% of abortions. Laws are not made on outliers.

This is the dumbest fuking post ITT.

The entire Medical & Scientific Community agree human life begins at conception.

American College of Pediatricians –

ABSTRACT: The predominance of human biological research confirms that human life begins at conception—fertilization. At fertilization, the human being emerges as a whole, genetically distinct, individuated. This statement focuses on the scientific evidence of when an individual human life begins.

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has made it the official policy of the United States that life begins at conception.

Educate yourself.
Show me one Medical or Scientific Journal stating different, I can reference over 100..

I'll wait.

I'm guessing you are going to have a hard time seeing as the actual definition of the word...

con·cep·tion 1. the action of conceiving a child or of a child being conceived.
synonyms inception of pregnancy, conceiving, fertilization, impregnation, insemination; rarefecundation

These are the facts, as is the fact that at approximately 1.5-2 hours after conception that zygote becomes a living organism that is scientifically classified as homo-Sapiens.

Every embryology textbook; bar none, agrees that a new human life is created at conception.

What a dumbfuk

Yes. There is.

Abortion is not the only option. Those children can be adopted out. The adoption process not only requires that applicants be able to financially support the child, but wanting to adopt as a single parent weighs against you. Prospective two parent households make for stronger applicants. The adoption process, in spite of its flaws, does a good job of promoting strong family units. Of course the strength of said family units will ultimately rest on that family itself.

You mentioned rape potentially being a source of conception. A victim of rape can take plan b. I don't say this callously as if to say "oh well pop a pill". On the contrary, in these events popping a pill is preferable to scheduling appointments and undergoing what could be a far more invasive procedure (with higher potential consequences) that would be a painful reminder of the assault. Not to mention it is much cheaper.

Between condoms, other forms contraception, plan b, and adoption, abortion-on-demand is not a necessary instutition. Yes, on individual grounds that are more represenative of unique situations (ectopic pregnancy, for example) abortion can be appropriate. On an industrial scale it is not.

By the way, nearly 2/3 of women that seek an an abortion have had at least one in the past. Abortion is not birth control.

Personal accountability means being accountable for your actions..if I break the law, I pay the price.
If you are trying to relate to bodily autonomy..sure. The idea of autonomy is to be able to control your "self". Once that child is inside you and you decide to kill it, you have violated their bodily autonomy. You have all your right to choose what happens to that child as long as you not violate it's rights, just as no one else can violate the rights offered to you.

I am not speaking directly about personal responsibility to pregnancy only.......I mean all encompassing......

Have you returned an amazon item for the reasoning other than it was defective?

Have you been mad at work and it effected your performance to the point that maybe a deadline suffered?

Have you cut someone off in traffic, potentially scaring someone causing them to overly brake and ruin their day?

We all do bad things, make mistakes, and people suffer to those mistakes......do I think there's a lot more to abortion than "opps I did it again"? Of course.....education being one of them.

But to blanket every female with "personal responsibility" is disingenuous at best.....since you don't know what its like to have one, don't know what the conditions of her getting prego was.....

if it was a living thing , it wouldve been born at the moment of conception... hence , leaving the uterus the moment the sperm penetrate the oocyte.

The organs start maturing at 3 month on , thats when a human being starts to develop .... its like building a car , the wheel alone, the chasis alone, the engine alone means jacksh!t , its not a car.

same goes with a fetus , none of his organs are developed enough to be alive .

Amazon..no, I exchanged for correct size or misleading, but never try to cheat the system

Traffic-I ride a motorcycle, I’m in between cars, I’m not fuking with a 2ton machine that can take me the fuk out with a flick of the steering wheel.

Sure, we all make mistakes, but killing another human being (yes, it is a human being by the very definition of the word) is not an acceptable resolution to a “mistake.

You wouldn’t kill a 1 yr old child because you simply don’t want it anymore..the same goes for a child in the womb.

Please tell me you have a better argument than this..?

Again..the entire Medical & Scientific Community agree that human life begins at conception. It’s not a debate...you do understand that.

Also..your argument is the fukin worse man. having a certain level of development does not determine personhood. Being a biological human does. A 'fetus' is a biological person.
No one is fully developed until at least 25 years of age. What about children?
Already, there are bioethicists who say that a 12 year old is not developed enough to considered a person. A person is human and a human is a person. And a person is not disposable. A fetus is not a thing, it is a stage of development. From conception, a unique and unrepeatable human life is formed. It is not a potential person.
Development does not determine personhood.
What about the serverly mentally handicapped? Oh wait, bioethisicts have said in the past that they are non-persons to.

When personhood is rooted in anything other than being biologically human, who counts as a person becomes arbitrary with no objective

Not entirely. It ultimately comes down to values. You can educate someone on the dangers of ciggerates, alcohol, drugs, abortion and etc, but their values will ultimately decide what they do with this information.

It's interesting that we all have probably heard or even said that there should be a licensing process for having children. Well, adoption imposes many of the things we likely heard or said: financially stable, two parent household, clean home environment, no serious criminal history, etc.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

same goes with a fetus , none of his organs are developed enough to be alive .

by your logic , if a drug addict, a teen , a preteen who got pregnant my mistake are obliged to keep their baby ? ofc not

you guys are just stupid
Also a bit of education:
Just 22 days after conception, the baby's hearts starts beating. At 6 weeks, brain waves can be measured. At 8 weeks, the stomach, liver, kidneys and brain are functioning and fingertips have formed. More that 500,000 abortions are done each year in America after the eighth week of pregnancy.

You wouldn’t kill a 1 yr old child because you simply don’t want it anymore..the same goes for a child in the womb.

Please tell me you have a better argument than this..?
You don't think your actions throughout your whole life hasn't killed people in some way shape or form?

What are you doing to keep the lives that are alive here, alive? Do you donate your time, money, energy to causes that provide help to children that do need it?

Do you prefer lock downs for covid?

Or people to choose what they do, where they go, and how they go about doing it?
