About 2 years ago, I got a horrible reaction to the flu. I was sick for a week and had to get Tamiflu from the doctor. That said, I took the flu shot that year, and took the flu shot about 20 or so times before in my life (I get the flu shot on a yearly basis) and I am pretty sure that I got the flu before.
You can expect to get sick with the flu even with flu shots and prior experience with the illness. I think the same will be said for covid. I think that the more the virus spreads, the more it mutates and the more it can bypass natural immunity and vaccines.
