So…. You think the currency will go up in value from here relative to whatever currency you bought it in?

K den
Short-term, Yes. But, It is really just a counter-trend move compared to long term fundamentals. Kangaroo DOLLARS basically depreciate against every currency WITH their piss-tier economy and HIGH interest rates of AZZ.

Interesting because the first post was referring to INCOME

Weird that your brain went straight to income fromlabour - rather than, say, capital…

Well not so much weird but telling

And I caught your edit. I pointed it out not less than three times, and you ignored it. Stay rustled - not everyone is impressed by someone posting a bank balance in kangaroodollars.Probably because anyone who does that thinks it's a bigger deal than it really is.
Impressed no, but rustled? Absolutely

But to answer your question, yes having money, assets and retirement savings does let me sleep soundly at night.

Fuk no, I will always be able to rent for more than mortgage. I might consider buying when the market is low. It depends where your at. Where I live in the rocky mountains, the housing market might get lower but history shows it likely won't full on crash. Mid western states is probably a different story. Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, ect might hit a rock bottom like the recession in 2007

Last time we had inflation anything comparable to this was in the 80s. Interest rates were pushing 20% so people werent buying. Inflation is worse now than then. I'm hoping I'm wrong but I think interest rates will go sky high. I got 2% interest rate when I bought a couple years ago for reference.

The post you responded to cited INCOME as the source of wealth

You interpreted that to mean income from labour, which makes sense

No need to be mad

High interest rates also creates a deflationary environment which doesn't take a big brain genius to figure out what that would do to for example housing prices.
