Are there still people pushing to continue and even ramp up government restrictions and requirements? Yeah.
But there are also people resisting it and people still waking up to what is happening.

People can live for many years with underlying health problems. It's no surprise at all that only 17k/150k deaths had no underlying causes. If anything it's surprisingly high.
I absolutely think that this chit is overblown as fk, and needs to end now, but you're contorting the figures.
We shouldn't be as bad as the other side, that only perpetuates the reasons that our societies are so divided and broken.

People can draw their own conclusions. I've drawn mine. Reporting deathswithCovid rather thanfromCovid has absolutely increased fear in the public.
Here's another one.
Justice Sotomayor, a liberal Associate Justice appointed by former president Obama, exaggerated the number of severe COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations among children as she attempted to convince conservative Supreme Court justices that President Joe Biden's vaccine mandate for businesses should be enforced.
'We have over 100,000 children, which we've never had before, in serious condition, and many on ventilators,' Sotomayor said on Friday.
That turned out to be pure, unadulterated fearmongering.
The actual figure was around 3,500, confirmed by the CDC director, and she could not reveal how many were on ventilators.
3500 children in pediatric care out of a population of 330 million? Big difference to what that hyperventilating justice was spouting.

No doubt the mainstream media, as well as governments, have betrayed the public's trust over the last two years (although the problems started before covid). Rather than a commitment to the reporting of information and developments in a free and fair way, they allowed themselves to become propaganda machines., pedaling only the state sponsored "facts" and guidelines, and suppressing any diverging opinions or even data that didn't match with the narrative.
I really do hope there will be some soul searching when the dust settles. Heads also need to roll, particularly in public institutions supposedly dedicated to impartiality such as the BBC.
