Convertible seats isn't a bad idea.

However to be fair to all passengers at that point the airlines should be required to disclose seat width and leg room for your ticket when you make your purchase. I wish they would do that anyway because while butts have been getting bigger seats have been getting smaller.

Airlines *could* do this, but I would be surprised if they ever really followed through on it. Might have to change the pricing structure from "per person w/X carry ons/X checked bags" to "ticketed by the pound". Check in with all of your baggage before the gate [carry ons included] and pay more or less based on the total. Probably have to use a "placeholder" average weight for the initial purchase then charge more or refund some at check in.

Sorry but a 32 inch waist at 5'4" is very plus size. That's my waist size as a 6'2" man who weighs around 225. Not my fault the fat is cool movement poisoned everyone's mind.

This. People don't realize how many calories it takes to sustain that weight. It's not like she woke up that way. So either someone buys food for her (which is often the case, there's an enabler who feeds her addiction) or she spends $200 a week on junk food.

Not even just the smell. Thankfully I've never had to deal with that but it's not fun being squished between heavy people. This happens on planes, in movie theaters and concerts. It's the worst when some stranger is flowing over into my space.
