"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I have been into forums and actually made some good friend IRL from this place. Back when it still was a lifting site, I learned a lot. It is still one of my only outlets for 'gym talk' since I workout at home since COVID.
When I was in an actual gym, I came here quite a bit less. Lots of good MISCERs and I choose to see the good in life. Despite what many think, the world is a pretty awesome place. If you always choose to see that bad, that is all you will see.
I have certainly in life many times experience negative things. But if I closed myself off to what the world had to offer, I would have lost so much more. Honestly, I have been though a lot, and I like sharing some positivity with others.
Especially younger guys and training. You guys have all been min fuked. All the 'nattie or not' bull sh!t, you are all focusing on the wrong stuff. WAY too many guys have zero idea about the reality and true spectrum of possibilities. But it all falls on the backdrop of genetics trumps all. The great news is we all can be a better us. But we are not all equal. Which is cool. Celebrate others. Your candle does not burn brighter by blowing out others.
Once you learn to be happy for others I think it really makes you own life better. Like I stress, I enjoyed what many would call great success as a younger person, yet was never truly happy. I learned where the source of true happiness came from, and it was not money nor success. Just trying to share a few ideas and the guys who have heard it make it worth it.

I can only control what I can control. I stay in shape..etc. And I dont think many would peg me for 50. Trying to get in good shape for summer now. Been doing a lot of fasting lately. IF for 4 years, and this past year, I do 20-22hr fasts 3x/week (non workout days). Just taking it slowly.. No flexing without showing leg pics too

Cant wait for all the call outs...but told my story many times. Nothing to hid. Not natural, but stay at natural levels w/ TRT because I needed it after head injury. I am not really that big. Being lean is an illusion of size. Only about 203-ish currently. 5'9. Used to hold 195 naturally at similar composition, but turning in my nattie card has allowed me to hold onto LBM at lower bf levels. Never had a problem gaining mass and strength as a nattie., but would start shedding mass below 10% bf. Over my time as non nattie, I would say it allowed me to gain 7-10lbs lean mass and hold it at lower bf levels. Never did anything of what most people think is normal for bike riding. Just not worth it for me at my age. If I cant hold on to strength or mass at natural levels, there is no point for me as I am at a point in my life where health is the main goal. To each their own though.

Nice everything OP. I'm happy for you. For me, I'm staying single my whole life because I don't want kids and the expectations of being a man in a relationship.
You are your thoughts. Life is perception, thoughts are perception, perception is reality ergo thoughts are reality, I think therefore I am.
08/08/2011. the day the aesthetics died. never forget.

Just lives a simple healthy life, no smoking, not a lot of alcohol..etc. Of course she is not in her 20's any more, but neither am I. I would say we were both attractive in our youth. I am becoming that old italian guy look. All the men in my family were totally bald. I am still holding on to most my hair, but at 49 there is some thinning and I have about greyed out completely on the sides. She has always been the more attractive one but I think as a couple we made sense. But I am amazed at how she has taken age with grace. She also always kept herself in shape whereas I let my self go for about a decade into my mid 30's before getting back on track.
This is pic of us on a sum morn. No make up, just simple. I am becoming the old italian guy but she just has a glow about her, and still pretty good for her age. We both are comfortable getting older. I really dont care if she gets wrinkles or shows age. I still think she is very pretty. All part of life but I have no complaints.
