Just working in boxer shorts today. Will have to put some clothes on to go shopping at around 9.30pm though.

Can't recall ever experiencing 41C. Sure, 41C is normal for many nations during summer...but it is a lot for us mid-Western Euros. That is where the hysteria is coming from...we pasty Anglos are not BUILT for it.

It's not like 37 is comfortable, but we can function pretty easily still. If you go to the northern states and mix that with high humidity, then it can be brutal, but a dry summer day of 37 in places like Melbourne is manageable.

For me I can wear shorts and shirts down to about 12c and not feel it that much, depending if the sun is out or not

20-23c in spring is the perfect range imo.

I've worked out in 124 degree heat indices before and didn't die. Temperatures will soar to like 115-120 degrees in parts of the USA later this week so it might set some records.
