I saw a handful of cases every summer when I worked in a Trauma ER in New Mexico, and to anyones surprise most of the victims were coming in wearing work clothes (tradies).
How did this become a thing where if you get heat stroke in 115° weather, than you're soft?

Probably took a huge vape hit before getting out and walking those boxes up. See tons of delivery drivers taking vape hits as they go about. Should be illegal to vape while driving.

But who was delivery driver in Africa? Don't see viral videos of delivery drivers passing out from the heat.

It depends on how used to are to the heat. Maybe if you've lived in the desert all your life it feels ok but for most of us, 120 is unbearably hot.

No, that means you're a low IQ retard! C'mon now.

You can always tell who hasn't worked a hard day.

Sure it sucks, but just bring a cooler and hydrate enough. These UPS guys aren't digging ditches for 10 hours in this. Misc is very soft.

ok, not sure what the vax has to with this considering I've never even been pro forcing people to get it.

Maybe he should have thought about this in school and got better grades so he wouldn't have to be a delivery tradie.

nah, you just need to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. If you haven't been doing 15 hour days of manual labour in 120 degree heat since age 10 then you're just a weak beta.

what about a cooling vest with backup ice packs kept in a cooler on the truck. these supposedly last 5-10 hours, prob get 2 or 3 hours if its 115 out though.

MAN UPS AND FEDEX HOME DELIVER SUCKS MAJOR BALLS. I THINK FEDEX HOME DELIVERY IS WORSE THAN UPS AS THEY CAN PAY SLAVE WAGES DUE TO YOU BEING A CONTRACTOR. WORKED THERE FOR A FEW MONTHS A LONG TIME AGO 1 DOLLAR PER STOP CONTRACTOR DO 100 OR 150 STOPS PROB TAKE 12 HOURS UNLESS YOU HAVE A GRAVY ROUTE THATS LESS THAN MINIMUN WAGE WITH NO AC AND DRIVING LIKE A DINKHEAD TO MAKE TIME TO MAKE IT WORK IT. FORGET ABOUT TAKING A BREAK OR LUNCH UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OUT ALL DAY. LTL cdl PAY IS BETTER BUT THE TIME OFF ALSO SUCKS CAWK

Eating up the mass media narrative is the real low IQ move.

Maybe you should be more sceptical, Hippo.
June 14th I'm sure I started suffering from heat stroke, especially when we were inside a house with no air conditioning for close to an hr.

We got back to the station and suddenly I felt chills. That definitely isn't normal.

And he passed out in front of a house with a camera, which many houses have. This wasn't some conspiracy.

They make great money and have great benefits. Most days they finish early and get paid for their routes still. There's a reason they do these jobs despite some of the weeks of "bad weather."

and yes, you get used to. The problem is you're viewing this from the comfort of an office with ac. So of course this seems extreme for you. Literally none of our drivers complain about it. They're the one's that tell you they're used it. My ups drivers do way more work than the typical ones and are in their trailer part much longer.

Did you guys make a thread for them during the freezing weather days too?

Most of you guys calling me insensitive or retarded have never even talked to a ups guy, offered him a drink/s in this weather, nor asked them what they think of their conditions.
well its literally one of the worse jobs in the world, so they better get paid decent otherwise no one would suck it up and do it. Maybe the guy was hungover from the night before and dehydrated, whatever the job still sucks and yall dont even have a/c or radio in the sheit wagons. Job sucks dink hardcore. Get a cdl and drive ltl and do 5-18 pickups and delivers combinded and make 70k a year idk even without ac which happens its better than 100 stops a day . But obv someone needs to do that line of work , maybe these delivery companys should run ac and heat
