its risk assessment and the “known”. Humans are naturally afraid of snakes, and you don’t have to warn someone that a venomous snake can kill you. So they take extra care to secure the snake and keep it away from children. Same with firearms. A majority of people lock up their firearms or at least take precautions, like separating ammo from the firearms, bolt/trigger locks, removing the bolt…

But when you think “all domesticated dogs are safe”, no precautions will be taken.

It’s the same with cats. It’s quite dangerous to leave a cat in the nursery with a baby, but people allow that chit to happen all of the time, so every now and then you hear of a baby suffocating from a cat or getting a nasty infection from a bite or scratch.

I’ve taken several classes in firearms and on assortment of other things. Every instructor has said the same; in times of chaos, you fall back on training. If you have no training, your actions will likely be unpredictable. A mother/woman is the epitome of this fact. They tend to have the worst disposition in chaos. The military has done extensive research on this too. This is why it’s Extremely dangerous to recruit women for combat.

I am yet to see anyone, on any video ever posted, extract a human from the jaws of a landshark (let alone two of them) whilst it's in attack mode (if they didn't have a gun and shoot it).
She would of been trying to grab and/or wrestle her children from the mouths of the dogs, which would no doubt have been ragdolling them around the room. Blood everywhere, screaming and barking. The scene would of been absolutely horrendous. You go into save mode, not kill mode when it comes to your kids.
