UK had stopped the threat of German invasion before the US entered the war. Battle of Britain was 1940. Read a book once in a while.

I want England to win, but it's so funny because they take soccer so seriously yet have only won the World Cup once and it was on home turf.

The other members of the big four have won it multiple times (Germany, France, Italy).

Other european nations are irrelevant.

Always give respect to the RAF. Don't forget the Poles, Aussies, Canadians, South Africans that helped you out.

But in the end, it was big Daddy America that came in.

"Now at this very moment I knew that the United States was in the war, up to the neck and in to the death. So we had won after all!" - Sir Winston Churchill

Southgate is such a plank. No club management career to speak of, cant adapt through a game. Not the best squad we have ever had but could score enough goals to ask a question..if we had anyone in charge with any tactical nous

Best manager in the world plays Foden week in week out, but this daft kunt of a manager decides he’s not good enough at all for this team? Deserve all we get. USA deserved more than a draw tbh.

Southgate has had good success with England though. Finals in Euros, quarters last WC.

You wanna go back to Sven or Fabio? lolllll

England lacks a star striker. The last striker that was a true star that struck fear into hearts of defenders was Michael Owen - even the Galacticos of Madrid wanted him. England's powerhouses have always been midfielders, Gerrard Lampard Scholes.

It was the Netherlands that went to NZ, Aus, etc first.
Even New York was called New Amsterdam. Britain simply married into an empire.

He has had good success with piss easy draws, we won't win anything with Southgate IMO. This is the best squad since the mid 2000's and again it's being wasted on a manager like that one was on Sven.

Saying that, as was said on our commentary, you can't win a WC in the group, only lose it.. And top of the group ain't terrible.

I mean england won't win the WC, but I think semi final should be considered a win.

Crazy how fast the American players were. The british players looked so slow - like Declan rice. even saka seemed slow. Mckennie running away like Usain Bolt

Any game that can end scoreless is unsatisfying for everyone involved.

NBA games don't matter until the final 10 minutes. Prior to that its a meaningless point-fest "ok, we will score, then you guys can score, and we'll do this for 40 minutes"

At least in football every goal is usually important and changes the whole approach of the teams.

This guy gets it

American sports feed points to keep fans interested.

a couple of goals can change the whole dynamic of a game, that's why fans go ballistic when a goal is scored

Chicago bulls 123 points

Washington cowboys 325 points

Lol! Utterly pointless

Even some 0-0 football games are great when filled with controversy, attacking play, hitting posts, sending offs and banter between two sets of supporters
