It can be enjoyed and I do watch whatever game I can each season but when it comes down to it, it's a bad sport and we are all cucked by watching it.


1) This has been repeated a million times but fact is fact that out of an average 3-hour game there is only 11 mins of action. This is pathetic.

2) A ton of little rules to patch up the holes in the game's poor overall design. This says a lot. Some commentators don't even know what the fukk happened sometimes.

3) I admire the athleticism of the players but in terms of skill, its really only the QB who does anything impressive. The rest just run and push with an occasional cool looking catch. That's why half of them are just big fat fuks.

4) The biggest cope is the "it's like chess" bullchit. I always lol at the arrows they draw on screen to explain the 'complex' strategy. You could draw arrows in any team sport if you wished. Not like you can see this supposed strategy as the default camera is never zoomed out enough.

5) The cuckening part. The sport is designed from the ground up to maximize ad revenue. Stoppage after stoppage and an ad after an add, literally every few seconds. There is even a rule that the game has to pause for a certain time (the 2 min rule) because it is the most lucrative timeframe for ads (thats literally the reason for this rule, look on wiki). There was a study that said that MOST people tune in to watch the Super Bowl because of the new ads. Just lol.

6) Because of 5, to keep the money machine going, the amount of effort spent to hype up the sport and make it interesting with the constant promos, various showy spectacles, halftime shows, cheerleaders, patriotism chit, etc. This says it all. There is no purity of just the athletes and the fans as in other sports. This is why it's only popular in US, unlike say basketball.


The game is basically like a free kick after a free kick in soccer but without the organic adaptation that comes from a flowing game and without impressive ball handling skills but with a lot of fukkin unnecessary noise.

The "11 minutes of play" has got to be the lowest IQ insult to football ever. That would be like saying nothing happens in Chess when two grandmasters play because they only touch the pieces for like a minute over the course of the game.

1. There is more like 45-50 minutes of action if you consider the fact that the clock still runs after a run / completion. The problem is the athletes on defense are so good that there are not as many explosive plays and high scoring games compared to the college game which is much more exciting imo.

2. I agree. The games rules have been so convoluted and confusing now that no one really knows what is considered a catch or roughing the passer anymore. The game has been softened up to protect players from CTE. You could technically call holding by an OL every single damn play and justify it.

3. Positions like CB, WR, RB, OL take a lot of skill. It’s hard to notice with an untrained eye or inexperience playing the game at a high level. Agreed though QB takes the most skill, followed by CB.

4. Disagree here. The coaches put in countless hours studying the playbook and deciding on a game plan each and every week to counter the opposing offense / defense’s weaknesses and strengths.

5. Every major sport is designed to bring in ad revenue. It’s just that the NFL is the most popular sport in the US so it’s more noticeable. Agree though there are way too many commercials.

6. Like anything popular and revenue generating in this country, it will become politicized and the pure love of it is gone. You see this in movies, video games, etc as well.

I only loosely follow my home NFL team and occasionally will sit a whole match if it’s a good match up but I’m not too invested either way. Not too butt hurt if they lose in the playoffs and not that happy if they win it all.
