depends on the person if your paranoia is already kind of high sober? It can be amplified when you add weed in some cases, plus indica and sativa strains can affect people differently, I like indica strains

Paranoia can sometimes mean you have underlying issues/insecurities (many people do)

Weed or other psychedelics can bring all that out at once which can be extremely overwhelming

Other reasons for getting anxious/paranoid can be your brain chemistry and or a low tolerance

lol @ weedcels thinking weed is some magic sht, makes you sleep better and all

no it actually doesn't. your short-term memory is completely fuked, your REM sleep is fuked (you basically don't sleep) and there are many more neurological complications we're discovering every day.

i never fuking understood why weedcels think they know it all.

(if you're uneducated/can't read proper meta-analysis/peer-reviewed studies and still think weed is cool and all (unless you have been prescribed, then disregard everything i've said) watch this:

No one here is saying pot is cool or hip. That idea needs to die. Ending prohibition would probably end that idea. It's gonna take some time

The above poster I think is vaxxed. Maybe I'm wrong. If you want to chime in your vaccine status, pls do

I could trade in some short term memory and temporary lessened sleep quality for an enjoyable toke

If I damn pls

Nothing against it still have some friends that do but they like the vaping method which I think is better than a bong or bowl lol reminds me of a high school teenage stoner.

I never really got into it...Sure, it was fun every once in awhile, but mostly I just found myself sitting on the couch for hrs like a zombie not even know what I'm really watching completely spaced out. Just isn't for me I guess.. Music was good though.

I think last time I smoked was like 2019 srs.

I would be pretty much like Brad Pitt in True Romance that feeling doesn't really appeal to me that much lol.

This. It's not as "cool" here in LA where it's legal. The "stoner culture" seems to mostly exist in places where it's still illegal or in online communities.

Many people live a much better quality of life with cannabis because of other underlying health conditions or discontinuing other medications/drugs/alcohol (can be used as a bridge to sobriety)

totally agreed, that's why i said: if you've been prescribed medical cannabis, disregard what I've said.

EDIT: DO NOT auto-medicate yourself, ask your doctor and act accordingly.

Quoting yourself is cringe but I want to let people know the damage is reversible and even heavy users brains can go back to normal after 2.4 years of abstinence. Meditation, exercise, and socialising also helps grow grey matter (meditation is the big one).

If I actually saw repercussions over the last 10 years, then maybe they'd have solid points with their studies, but at the end of the day many studies are proven to be wrong.

Just like anything, if it's working for you then obviously keep doing it. I'm not gonna change my habits when I think it's helped with my success, both personal and professionally.

Even alcohol was thought to be completely detrimental, then life long studies proved 1-2 drinks once in a while is actually healthy.

so by your logic, if it didn't harm YOU then it's not harmful? so if smoking cigarettes didn't give you lung cancer it means that cigarettes aren't harmful? do you even see how that logic is fuked up?

you probably don't even see/didn't even notice the long-term changes in your neuro-functioning. you're probably used to not sleeping properly/being tired all the time/do not remember the things you're used to correctly

that's the thing with most long-term weed users, they don't understand/see the reality. once again unless you've been prescribed the drug, you're harming yourself.

EDIT: corollary, alcohol has always been proven to be useful with low dosages (<20g/day for women / <30g/day for men) thing is most people don't understand moderation.

CANNABIs should be freely bought, sold and traded

like it was coffee

You can make the argument that coffee is less safe than cannabis but I like instant coffee

Don't drive on flower pls. You gotta smoke it at home. Drive on coffee

And I agree just like you said in low dosage or moderation, I know people who will wake up and smoke a bowl before even getting out of bed and I'm like yeah thats not for me because whatever I needed to do for the day won't probably happen now if I was like that. I do it to unwind my day plus I have nagging back issues that doctors generally dont do shiet about so it helps me get comfortable at the end of the day. If it got to the point where I couldn't even drive or go to work without smoking a some flower? Yeah that is a problem and most people dont see it that way so I see your point.

I'll use the same logic when I explained it to my friend. I'm still climbing mountains, biking 1000s of miles every summer and have an impeccable diet. My job and hobbies keep me sharp and gain me more life experience.

My health is definitely in the 1%, and yeah, a cig now and again isn't going to kill you, not even long term. But hey live your life. I'm happy with mine. Most people aren't

I like those CBD gummies. It's good for getting a buzz without the calories like with alcohol.

Though, I tried a whole CBD Oreo this past Christmas. That was a big fuggin' mistake. Worst experience ever.

Half a gummie, and I'm good. However, I'll admit I do feel stupider the next day. Just brain fog the whole day. And I don't feel like doing anything. So I restrict it's use to vacation times.

Vape pretty much daily now. Like most things, it has its pros and cons but for me it has definitely changed my life for the better. Shouldn’t be abused and used during the daytime if you have **** that needs to get done but nothing wrong with smoking at night to unwind. I quit for a couple months in November and December and didn’t notice any positive changes. Definitely not for everyone though
