From director Tod Browning who had made Dracula the year before. This film may be even better film, its certainly a more ambitious one. A true classic and a shocking masterpiece of early horror.

I'm not a fan of musicals but I love that movies so much. Watched it a couple months ago. For noir I watched Lady in The Lake 1947 last night…so good.

I'm watching Fitzwilly right now and off to bed. It's such a fun watch.

"Not that it's impossibl to touch a minor inapproriately, but it is true that a 6 year old girl will not recognie someone putting a hand on their chest as roping, whether it is inappropriat or not."

OP, Hitchcock's movies from the 40s-50s are fhucking mint. Intelligent and thoughtful films that beat the piss out of what Hollywood are putting out these days.

Yeah, I will keep it going, the only problem is that the movies often get deleted, so you gotta watch them asap.

I watched a couple good ones last night.

"Bird" This movie is about jazz saxophonist Charlie "Bird" Parker, directed and produced by Clint Eastwood from a screenplay by Joel Oliansky. The film stars Forest Whitaker as Parker, and Diane Venora. It is constructed as a montage of scenes from Parker's life, from his childhood in Kansas City, through his early death at the age of 34.

"Lady Sings The Blues" This movie is about jazz singer Billie Holiday, loosely based on her 1956 autobiography which, in turn, took its title from Holiday's song. It was produced by Motown Productions for Paramount Pictures. Diana Ross, in her feature film debut, portrayed Holiday, alongside a cast including Billy Dee Williams, Richard Pryor, James T. Callahan, and Scatman Crothers.
