Regarding the topic OP originally posted, to get to a point where we can even send probes over in most reaches of the known universe to scan for habitable planets, we’d have to have some sort of control over traveling both space and time. In essence, we’d already be at a point where finding a habitable planet is probably unnecessary. And the information from those probes probably wouldn’t reach us in many lifetimes anyway.

Genomes of animals were created by a genius. Here is part of the mouse genome on chromosome number 2, maybe someone can explain the function of this sequence of nucleotide bases...

This is only a small part of the 2,700,000,000 nucleotide bases that can create a mouse. If anyone believes that this is a result of random chance then they are mentally retarded.
As such an avid debunker why don't you try to debunk your own god and come to the conclusion it's all based on your own faith and there's no actual evidence. "I believe it can't be random chance therefore my theory of the specific god I believe in must be correct and everybody who believes otherwise deserves to be insulted" is not any kind of logical thinking.

Given the distances it will only ever work if we find a way to fold space or something. Just going really fast won’t cut it. Given the size of space it’s impossible that there isn’t other intelligent life out there, but we almost certainly will never encounter it.

I’ll never understand why this is so important to some people. Evolution could easily just be the mechanism of his God. I mean unless you literally believe stories like Noah building an ark that could hold two of every animal (and that two is enough to repopulate the species) than a lot of the Bible is analogy and metaphor anyways.

My belief isn't based on the fact that abiogenesis and the Darwin model of evolution is false..it is based on how God has acted in my life, and His undeniable presence directing it.I was an atheist most of my life, that all changed when I sought after God..something atheists never think of doing...

Like a miscer at a bar staring out into the vast empty space between him and an HBB. At this stage, I see no reason for aliens who have some better understanding of the nature of the universe to make contact with us. We are barely able to process what we do know, and that only exists because we’ve had some people here who are freakishly smarter than the general population.

Ask an average person to buy a calculator on amazon and see how fast they do it. Ask your average person how a calculator works. Ask them how their phone works. Ask them how the battery powering their phone works. Or the hand holding it. Crickets.

At this stage, I wouldn’t want to meet us either.

I think the issue is using science to determine if God exists is wrong. It's the wrong tool. They can only measure the material world firstly which we believe in a metaphysical world. I don't use a ruler to figure out how much I weigh (wrong tool).

Mind you I will push back on your point - still need to figure out which God that is
A Hindu, Christian, Muslim and Sikh can all claim that how God is present in their life (but they can't all be right).
2:136
Say, ˹O believers,˺ We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.

Science is a tool/ an indicator that leads one to no alternative but a creator..

Sometimes we forgot of all the famous scientists that were believers in God, and how (according to them) God used science to direct their paths and understanding of the universe and physics.

I know the Bible & the Jewish/Christian God to be truth because of foretold prophecy both of the past & current events, the accuracy & consistency of the Bible, and how Jesus has worked in the lives of those around me and myself

Got you back When off spread bro

I'm not even an atheist and I think intelligent design could definitely be a thing. To think we just happen to get the theory and specific god correct this time and all other religions before and after that seems naive. Just like believing every single story in the bible literally happened the way it's written down.

Looks like you also fail to realize that the intelligent design theory and evolution theory can both be correct at the same time.

Again, I think there are factors of evolution that can be true..as I mentioned like Epigenetics..but that is as far as it goes..IMO. I was raised by a Jew (step-dad) and what most people do not realize is that there is a large portion of jews, that though they acknowledge God and their religious holidays, they still believe in Evolution..this is how I was raised..thinking the same. It wasn't until I was about 27 did I start to question the many holes in that theory, first thing that came to mind was the Cambrian Explosion and the discontinuities of the formation of life..it just wasn't adding up when I started to really look into it.

It's not naive to say that the Christian/Jewish God is the true God. Let me make a suggestion..give Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis a read through, and tell me the conclusions you come to. I'll buy you the book, or even send you the money to purchase it..it's one of the best explanations of why the Christian God and no others, that I know of. Just give it a read and decide for yourself. Please

That book is available for free online, for if you're gonna recommend it to other people. I went to a Christian elementary school where they read us stories from the bible and made us sing Christian songs. Used to really love those stories as a kid. I mostly agree with Christian morals already anyway and the mother of my children is catholic as well. I might give it a read out of interest but there's about a 0,01% chance I'd ever convert to a specific religion.

That's awesome to hear, srs. Thank you for sharing that.
I don't believe in organized religion either, I am non-denominational, and even though I attend a Christian church, I realize the corruption that much of the churches have undergone. It's about your relationship with God and how fellow believers can support your walk with Him, whether it be through troubling times, or a bit more understanding of what Scripture means and it's relation to the old..as in every Jewish Festival/Holiday being a fortelling of Christ..being raised by a Jew, I'm amazed how everything my step dad and brothers and sisters did was actually symbolic of Jesus..that's just one of the reasons I know the Bible was written by God..the congruity of it all.

Anyways, hope you give it a read, and yeah, maybe I was wrong about some stuff, like the death count being higher when Covid came about(2021 vs 2020)..but I still don't think all those deaths were necessarily "Covid deaths"..as we later found out.

So, a spaceship is just like a thrown ball.
That's actually what the space shuttles have. They have thrusters on the back and front and all sides. Though I'm sure we'll come up with a better way in the future.
