So, as leader of one of the successive administrations responsible for cutting back safety regs, we should be thrilled some folks got a burger and a couple of bottles of water paid for (probably) by Donald Trump.

The creeks are iridescent, a LOT of carcinogenic materials are in the soil, the company responsible then did a free burn that by their own admission 'did not go according to modelling' (ie wow that went bad), and in 10-20 years there's likely to be a lot of cancers occurring in the area.

Obama caved to lobbyists when he tried to implement broad reforms, and the listing of hazardous chemicals the regulations would have applied to was well watered down, so failure. Trump rolled back the little that Obama did do, so failure. Biden did nothing in his 2 years, so, again, failure. See the pattern emerging?

The big question is, is either Trump (as the wannabe President) or Biden interested in putting into place new, effective regulation to minimise the risk of this happening again? Are either of them interested in holding the railway to account?
