Sounds like someone upstairs gave DeSantis a call to make sure he gets on with the program if he wants to continue his political career.
Unfortunately it's the reality of politics, it happened to Bernie and every one else who had their own opinion. If you don't fall in line, you'll end up getting lynched, like what they are doing to Trump right now.
If someone expects DeSantis or anyone else to be different, don't get your hopes up. He might have his own opinion here and there, pretend like he's fighting "Washington" but in reality these issues will be irrelevant on a grand scale of things. Both parties pretend like they are different, let people focus and fight on minor issues, while they are all in agreement on things that are actually important.
Individual politicians will never make any difference because the system is set up for only the chosen few to rise to the top. An illusion of choice.
