If there is evidence the Snickers bar was stolen in an attempt to intentionally avoid taxation, then sure. I think there is precedent for this with cigarettes and alcohol that were stolen to then resell.

My perspective is simply to look at the evidence, determine if there is probable cause, and then fairly hold people accountable.

We don't know Trump's charges yet, but if he's found guilty of them he should pay whatever fine is imposed.

Mainstream propaganda is hard to defeat due to its wide reach and influence. It's sad people relinquish their duty to ask real questions by blindly going with the mainstream and they essentially allow mainstream institutions to dictate their thoughts and emotions. The mainstream media may ask questions, but not in the spirit of true journalism but to carefully craft a specific viewpoint and reaction to a topic.

Those who indulge in mainstream news are also given a sense of validation for going with the mainstream as well, that's why they constantly go back to it (dopamine addiction). Most peoples' political egos are not strong or confident enough to stand in defiance of mainstream culture.

That's why you'll typically see these people parrot mainstream talking points without much substance. When challenged, they resort to pointing to links of mainstream institutions because they themselves don't understand issues enough to properly articulate an opinion. They are also unable to understand or interpret outside perspectives because anything that runs contrary to mainstream sentiment is viewed as a threat. The handcuffs were a security risk, per Secret Service. If some terrorists or nutjobs decide to do something and the President is handcuffed, it could be disaster. I remember visiting the JFK Museum in Dallas, and they had all this stuff relating to how Secret Service have since put extreme protocols to always prepare for the worst. It's also why they didn't put him in a holding cell (i.e. jail cell)

When I got arrested almost 20 years ago, I was handcuffed, in private holding cell and they took my belt and shoelaces. I don't care about the secret service or Trump's safety, treat him the same way I was treated. Mugshot and all.

I went to trial and was found not guilty on a misdemeanor construction contract law.
