Like I said its a different theology, the messiah idea is not unique to the jews and the understanding of the messiah's purpose is very different.

Also, the Pope is heretic. Like plenty of hierarchs have been throughout history.

That's what I'm getting at with some of my posts.

I had a lot of Indian buddies when I was in my one graduate program. I picked a tough topic to defend and was getting in trouble before graduation.

My Indian friends gathered at the building where I had to defend my topic. I was embarrassed to see them there because I thought I would fail, however, I passed.

Later they told me they gathered there and prayed to Ganesha that I would have success.

After, I cried because I grew up in a negative Christian area and no one was praying for me except these Indian guys.

So, I think very highly of Ganesha even though I don't think he, Jesus, etc really exist.

I don't think most people in the west can entertain that Ganesha exists for more than a second or two.

Jesus was real. Ganesha is a similar metaphor but hard to really map because of the supernatural aspects. Not to mention Hindu does not have traction since it has like 1000 gods no one keeps track of and no connection to our networks.
