I saw some disposable water bottles decorating the top of it, and I thought, "some POS littered over here." then some broccoli haired teens come sauntering over and tell me they were using the machine, and ask how many sets I have left. I said, "one." they said "what" I said, "I'll be done in like two seconds." But then I couldn't focus on my set.

I was also two sets in. The trick of scattering your belongings all over a crowded gym to claim a spot is ridiculous. If you leave a machine, let someone else use it.

I'm not advocating being a pushover in all cases. Just, if somebody appears unhinged (as in this case) then it's a better rule of thumb to avoid confrontation even if it makes you look weak.

Personally from training various combat sports I'll avoid fighting and confrontation in all cases because it's impossible to tell from appearance how skilled/dangerous somebody is.

In the video he posted, i'd argue OP is the antagonist. He's sat there repeatedly saying 'do something' when the guy isn't even looking at him or talking to him, blatantly continuing the confrontation. It's only after that the guy offers him outside, dumb thing to say, but when some little beta **** is constantly repeating 'do something' when you've moved on and aren't even talking to him, heat of the moment can make you behave irrationally.

I only slept 4 hours. I contacted the help desk first thing this morning on the way to work and they gave me the Vice President’s phone number. I contacted the vice president and he gave me his email to put in writing what exactly happened and to attach the video. He said the guy sounds like an idiot from what I briefly told him. They’re going to pull the cameras up and find out who he is based on the clear photos I’ve got of him and time of scan. He said they’ve got a zero tolerance policy and they’re going to warn him first and if it happens again, he’s out for good which is fine with me. Anything to get this pos to look over his shoulder works for me. When he gets that call from the VP and gets talked to like a child, “Your retardation is about to get you booted”, we’ll see who the bitch is then.

Call me crazy but going after somebody’s information, finding out who they are, where they work, etc. is just the type of person I am because I know these days people got their personal information up one way or another, phone cameras are good enough to where people are more likely to have evidence than just “he said she said”. Cos all the clip shows is you yelling repeatedly 'DO SOMETHIN', to an old man who's several metres away from you, and not talking to you, or even looking at you. Then after you repeatedly heckling him he (relatively calmly considering some dude is repeatedly shouting at him, at least he seems calmer than you) asks if you want to take it outside, and really isn't very threatening at all, only responding to your heckling, and this is what any of the gym management viewing the video will see.
