I'm glad that Florida has school choice. If you feel your son or daughter is not receiving a good education, you can remove your son or daughter from the school and have them taught elsewhere.

The point being made is that as terrible as it was to enslave the people who were on the Amistad, its not like they were ripped away from some peaceful utopia and paradise on earth. Proven by the fact that their families were wiped out and if not for the fact that they were taken, they would have likely been dead too. Being taken on those ships saved their lives.

I know you think you are noble and good to come to protection of these poor minorities who so desperately need your protection because you are so much better than them, but take the time to consider the context of something before you think its an opportunity to virtue signal next time.
