I had no expectations about what kind of movie it would be, but it felt empty to me... a hollow 3 hours with a few interesting moments. There is not something specific that I can point to that I SAW in the movie that was bad. It's mostly what I didn't feel during the movie. I don't know much about writing stories, but I didn't really feel connected to any of the people in the movie; no connection to a single character. Despite the fact that i know logically it was important to build the bomb as quickly as possible, I felt no sense of urgency or impending dread about the situation. And while Oppenheimer was getting screwed over by the government, I logically knew it seemed unfair, but I didn't really feel anything for Oppenheimer because I felt I didn't even know him.

I felt like I watched a live-action Wikipedia article about Oppenheimer. As if someone asked Chat GPT to make the film, lol.

Going for 2nd watch to see if I change my mind.

I ain't interested in watching Poopenheimer. They should just bring back Roadhouse or The Predator. I miss when we had fun movies instead of whiny navel gazing crap like this.

I mean the lack of security at Los Alamos and that leading to a Brit being a Russian spy makes sense. That did need to be investigated.

i'll judge it for myself on Friday. With Marvel and all these chitty movies in the last 13 years can't rely on anyone's opinion about whats good or bad. No offence OP.

Thought it was pretty good. Parts of it reminded me of A Beautiful Mind, haven't seen that in a long time going to rewatch. I went to grad school for math so I appreciated a lot of the theory / academic scenes.

Wasn't hard to follow with the time changes at all.

Honesty best part of this movie was the demo that went to see it, no teens or "others" as you would expect.
