Tide rises after 8am to 4PM - if the storm surge doesn't offset and recede while its rising, we're getting water in the houses for sure. Shes making landfall now, so we'll know by 10 how ****ed we are.

EDIT:Tide rises bout 2 feet from 8am to 4PM for context.

And you're welcome at my place anytime for some good liberal fun like going to drag shows and washing black peoples feet.

Yeah, we're at about 4 ft of surge right now. Had this thing tracked any further east it would have been ugly for St Pete. They're likely under water at Snell Island (its a real old lower lying area in St Pete)

Where I stayed to ride out the storm here in SW Florida we saw minimal damage. I was up half the night though due to concerns of storm surge. The ocean was a few inches away from going over the storm wall on the property. Ended up driving the cars to the only hill in the area and walked back home in the storm.

I'll try to make it home later today. Fingers crossed the area wasn't flooded.

Did a similar move - stashed the wifes car in a parking garage nearby.

Thats a pro move. Only other way to play it is to ice up the yeti/artic before hand and store your meat when the power goes down. Classic ****.

Got a generator just for the freezers brah, cant take any chances on them protonz.

St. Pete's coastal streets were starting to flood yesterday. A friend showed me some streets downtown were already thigh deep. About to drive to the gym downtown, hopefully just tree branches and light flooding. We kept power and our place sucks for that.

Damn finbrah already at risk of surge with the storm passing like a 100 miles by him? You'd have definitely been completely fukked if the storm moved a bit more east.
