The more stringent the measures were the greater the effect they had, the experts found.


Additionally, the report found that in school settings, closures and other distancing measures were associated with reduced Covid-19 cases, but the effectiveness varied depending on a range of factors, including adherence and pupils’ ages.

When looking at the use of face masks and mask mandates, studies consistently reported the measures were an effective approach to reduce infection. The evidence further indicates higher-quality respirator masks – such as N95 masks – were more effective than surgical-type masks."

Of course, quarantine means no visitors, so here's this elderly couple who couldn't spend time with their family.

I have a coworker whose father was dying in in a nursing home, but same thing.. no visitors in or out. NOBODY in this story had your sacred black plague of doom, but that didn't change anything... complete lockdown of the facility and she had to say goodbye to her father through a fuking closed window.

And my niece and her husband were so terrified of your sacred black plague of doom that they voluntarily locked themselves down and would go through a decontamination procedure anytime one of them had to venture out into the world and returned home. They had their kids so petrified that their 6yr old daughter cried "I not want to die!"

That's how people were affected.

And all over a virus with a 99.999998% survival rate.
