Can't see any logic in telling your wife about a seedy paid hand job lol. Assuming not doing it in the first place is not an option

As I get older, I become less interested in the idea of monogamy. “Cheating” where the other person has no idea about it seems 100% harmless to me, and can strengthen the relationship.

The problem is, a large number of the people who cheat also have personality disorders. So you have to deal with a whole lot of other manipulative emotional BS in addition to the cheating which is 100% not ok and kills the relationship.

At the end of the day, it's just a fkn handjob. I can use my hand, your hand, his hand or her hand. Only one of those makes you gay. PM me, boyos. No homo.

Whether or not to confess to cheating on a loved one is a complex and morally fraught decision that ultimately depends on individual circumstances and values. Here are some factors to consider:

Honesty and Trust: Honesty is a fundamental component of any healthy and trusting relationship. If you genuinely value honesty and believe that trust is essential in your relationship, then confessing may be the right course of action.

Consequences: Consider the potential consequences of your actions. Cheating can be deeply hurtful to a partner, and confessing may lead to the end of the relationship. It's important to weigh the emotional impact of the confession on both you and your partner.

Repeated Behavior: If the cheating was a one-time mistake and you are committed to never repeating it, some people may choose not to confess in order to spare their partner's feelings. However, if it's part of a pattern of behavior, it's essential to address the underlying issues.

Communication: Open and honest communication is vital in any relationship. If you decide not to confess, consider finding ways to improve your relationship and address any issues that may have contributed to the cheating.

Seeking Help: If you're struggling with the guilt and consequences of cheating, it may be helpful to seek the assistance of a therapist or counselor to work through your feelings and make informed decisions about how to proceed.

Ultimately, there's no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Some people choose to confess because they believe it's the right thing to do, while others may decide against it to avoid causing unnecessary pain. The key is to carefully reflect on your own values, the nature of your relationship, and the potential consequences of your actions before making a decision. It's also important to remember that each person and relationship is unique, so what works for one may not be the right choice for another.

There were no vows taken iirc. And furthermore let's be realistic about "vows" - there are many variable reasons and causes within the course of a long term relationship where cheating may occur but may not necessarily represent anything other than a momentary lapse in reason/control. And then there are times when the person is simply incapable of monogamy. These are two different sets of people and shouldn't be swept under the same definition.
I thought OP had said they're married, but appears they are not. My opinion still stands. If they are in a committed relationship that is supposed to be monogamous, there is no agreement that it's open, then she should have the option of knowing that he cheated and be able to make the decision with the relevant info to stay or leave.

As someone who doesn't cheat, I also disagree that it's ok to have a momentary lapse in reason or control. Cheating is not an accident. No one slipped and fell on some guys dik/or into some chicks vag.

Yes, same. I get that there are people who can overlook it and that's great for them, but it's not for me.

Imagine paying for it, too. Pathetic.

I spoke to him about it today, he basically said his sex life is fine and he: "Was drunk and just wanted to try it out". Funnily he says it wasn't even a great handjob either, and he feels pathetic for having paid for it too.

It is pathetic all around really. He's not going to tell his partner. He just seems disgusted with himself.

I'm not advocating the cheating but what's done is done. Coming clean will just further hurt both parties.
This is f*cked logic. Basically it's just a bullsh*t way of refusing to take accountability for your actions. If it costs you the relationship then it's what you deserve to happen.

Of course it sucks to hurt the other person if you really care about them. But if you really do care about them you need to suck it up and hurt them to allow them to make the best choice for themselves.

This is the type of logic I would expect from a women..... "well I already f*cked the guy and regret it and telling my husband would only cause him pain so I'm going to do what's best for him and not disclose it."......... that's just more selfishness to be honest. It has nothing to do with not sharing because it's best for the other party. It's all about not sharing it because you don't want to feel worse about yourself.

Nah, women logic is way different. When I was starting out in IB I can still remember a woman on my floor shouting: "It wasn't cheating! He was wearing a condom" as I looked on in disbelief. That's women logic, srs.

Bullsh*t. You're just rationalizing whatever is going to be the easiest way out for you. Pathetic as f*ck but it's exactly the type of behavior I'd expect from someone who cheats in the first place.

Whatever lies you have to tell yourself to sleep at night for being a complete piece of sh*t I guess.... Better that than own up to it and look yourself in the mirror for who you really are.... right? Why make a mountain out of a molehill.

Honestly negged you POS

Obviously the neg upset you enough to neg back? LMAO at calling me out for being upset but you felt you needed to "get me back" for little red squares.

But hey, cheaters usually do feel the need to get people back cause they're selfish pricks to begin with. No shocker there.

Or, "I did something horrible to myself, which will undermine your faith in me. I am disappointed with myself for doing this, feel sick and will never do it again".

It isn't really doing it TO the person you're with I think (never cheated crew). Cheaters themselves must be in a pretty bad space.
