and no chit both systems had their merits, they were something unique in the market at the time

Xbox came a gen too late to have this benefit

nowadays the difference PS/Xbox is really slim, neither is something as unique as the PSX/PS2 in the day

so it comes down to BRAND LOYALTY for a big part (--> this is what you asked)

Not sure what the fk that idiot is getting at either LMFAO. It's quite simple, Sony has established themselves in the gaming industry over two decades ago. Xbox has had to play catch up ever since they were established. Sony has a loyal fan base, people literally buy a PS5 to play COD when Xbox and PC are clearly the superior platform to play on.
