All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Nah, my description of this thread is far more accurate than yours.

Initially it was a Ukraine funding bill but the Republicans said you need to pass a border bill so they did. Then the House got the message from Trump not to pass it. I don't need any reminders.

Trump didn’t welcome filth but your boy did and people died as a result
Trump didn't fix anything if we're having problems today. I know this can be difficult to understand but sticking your finger in the dyke simply delays the problem.

And people need to stop referring to immigrants as filth. They're people - some are criminals but the vast majority are not.

So as long as it’s called a border bill they should’ve automatically voted for it?
Even if it had very little to protect our border and billions to protect other countries borders?

I think Trump correctly pointed out the problem and was attacked relentlessly over it, though -- and, yeah, some of it because of the insensitive Trumpian way he worded it.

At the same time, the same people who defied him at every turn are now trying to pivot or gaslight the current situation.

On this issue, here in Texas we've seen first hand how hard Biden fought to enable illegal immigration and actively got in the way of our Governor (who overall is not someone I'm a big fan of) or used his DOJ to keep it going. And he did it because it's politically beneficial to Democrats to have illegals in, some voting but mostly just being on the census in Blue states giving them many more electoral college points than they should have.

Meanwhile, the GOP hasn't done anything about it and also got in the way of Trump at every turn, in their case they just like sucking on corporate dick and do as they are told, cheap illegal labor means more to them than American citizens every day of the week.

Trump is not a God Savior perfect human being, not on any issue and not on this one -- but he's the best of the worst, at least as I see it.

No bill is ever perfect and is usually full of compromises. But it was better than what we have now.

I'll remind everyone that Nancy Pelosi passed Trump's slightly better NAFTA bill because it was good for the country - even though it gave political points to Trump.

Compromises are one thing but calling it a border bill when the least amount of funding was earmarked for the border is dishonest.
Would you be ok with someone creating a Cancer Cure spending bill full of Billions of dollars of pork and a tiny amount going for cancer research?

They do this kind of chit all the time, and by they I mean everyone in Washington.

"The Patriot Act", as if spying on Americans and chitting on civil liberties makes someone a patriot?

Strong words from the cult member who insults his political "enemies" on the daily.

If Biden told him to he would.
It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.

Venezuelan migrant tells his followers on social media that you can just squat in people's homes in the US to take them over.

A border bill where Ukraine gets 60 billion dollars, Israel and Gaza get around 10-15 billion each, and where Taiwan gets around 10 billion.

And our border would get a few billion, and 500 illegals would be allowed to pass every single day. Or it might have been 5,000.

That border bill?

I think the term you are looking for is “fecal pond scum”.
Scubastevo :-What percentage of women have STDs? (serious) If I just wanted to go bareback with any girl that I could get with, what are my chances of ending up bed ridden with STDs?
