Yahweh is a vengeful and jealous God. Those are his own words. He love punishing and murdering his creation. He also loves us. That sounds like a deranged abuser to me. Remember, Yahweh drowned the world and later confused the languages because he feared humanity would be able to accomplish anything - i.e. not rely on him

He punished all mankind for two individuals eating of the tree - one of whom was “thoroughly deceived”, yet he punished them anyway.

The whole sins of the father of obviously horrific, but it’s all in keeping with a God that is not benevolent. A particularly great example of his detachment and lack of understanding of his own creation is Job and the games he played with the apparent accuser. Job was punished for a bet, and the reward Job got was a new family with lots of offspring and even more wealth. How kind of Yahweh and how just of him to understand that if our children are killed he can just replace them by blessing us with even more! Beautiful!

The stories in those books are utterly mad. And the paint a picture of an often cruel God. Apologetics will always fall short because some of the things they must defend are the worst of all crimes. Sex slaves and murdering babies.

The particularly crazy thing here is that I could say to Paul and take he position of; “Yes, Yahweh exists. Yes I believe in objective moral values”. What does he do then? He still has to defend the indefensible, so I don’t really understand the point him and other Christian losers try to make when talking about this subject.

Only an unprincipled coward would serve Yahweh.

Also, “Anakim” doesn’t apply to Amelek, who they also killed, slaughtered, and took sex slaves from. Not that the assertion is correct about them being offspring of the “Nephilim”. The guy literally took multiple groups of people and called them all descendants of Nephilim and Giants because they lived in the “Hills”. This is probably heretical.

Remember when ISIS started their “caliphate” and all the horrific news that came from that? The destruction of old world heritage sites, the mass rapes and executions, driving towns out and occupying them etc. This is what the Hebrews were doing. Is it any wonder that the many tribes and peoples living in the “promised land were big mad at the marauding Hebrews. The raiders who were going from onslaught to onslaught to take all of the land and kill all of the people who decided to fight back?

We don't need to invoke or entertain your shiitt "objective vs subjective" debate. It's boring needless.

The "DNA" nonsense you're babbling on about isn't supported by the actual words in your Holy Book. It's simply apologetics, aka COPE. You know it's wrong but you need to justify it somehow.

Numbers 31 and Deuteronomy 21 are quite clear. Kill everyone, but the untouched women you can "marry" after 30 days. ISIS like derangement. Do you think these women are somehow falling in love with their abductors? The same ones who just slaughtered their families? RETARD

"Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."

28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels[a] of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

Rape a woman, pay the father off and you get to marry her. That's your morality, it's truly beautiful!

Let's take a closer look at the beautiful Deuteronomy 21

When you go to war against your enemies and the Lord your God delivers them into your hands and you take captives, 11 if you notice among the captives a beautiful woman and are attracted to her, you may take her as your wife. 12 Bring her into your home and have her shave her head, trim her nails 13 and put aside the clothes she was wearing when captured. After she has lived in your house and mourned her father and mother for a full month, then you may go to her and be her husband and she shall be your wife. 14 If you are not pleased with her, let her go wherever she wishes. You must not sell her or treat her as a slave, since you have dishonored her.

So, after you've killed all the men, women and children and spared some hot virgins, you can marry them. But only after 30 whole days (lots of time to grieve there). Your Yahweh is so gracious that he instructs his cult that if for whatever reason YOU (the man) is not pleased with the woman (who you have now ****ed in both a literal and figurative sense), you can let her do. You can't sell her though because you have "dishonored" (raped) her. Behold the majesty of the almighty God of Love!

The above passages and "rules" are utterly insane and the only COPE you have in literally denying the passages words (heretic), or claiming some bull**** about bloodlines being purged.

And all of this madness that is written and given by your God, you want to project this lunatic idea that "objective morality" comes from that and that's how we know what is "good" and "bad".

The cult of Yahweh engaged in ethnic cleansing and genocide, much like we saw ISIS. The world was horrified at what ISIS were doing, but really that looks like child's play to the passages and brutality of the cult.
You’re just an angry lost hope. I explained to you why God calls for Genocide of certain regions, again, it only occurs in very specific northern regions where human DNA had been corrupted.

Your morality is subjective, you have no objective morality. Chemical reactions in no way produce proper logical inference because there is no “mind” behind these reactions.

Btw..look what you posted..

“If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels[a] of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.”

Men cannot just go around raping women. He must pay & make them their wives..complete opposite of all cultures around at the time including Muslims.

I tend to Bert stare religious quotes out of context. Many of them can make whatever religion look terrible. Pick a religion, look for something awful, and you’ll certainly find multiple examples in the scripture.

We are all wrongdoers..not one of us is good. That’s the thing. We all fall short of God’s commandments that He has instructed man to live by. The penalty for breaking these commandments is death, we are all guilty. The good news is that God took our sin upon Himself & died so that we may live. Not only live an eternal life but a blessed life while here on the earth. God desires to be a part of your life. He wants to guide you, to bless you, to have a relationship with Him, all you have to do is ask.
But God will not force Himself on anyone, if man chooses not to have a relationship with God, that is His choice, but we cannot blame God for what happens to our soul nor our lives here on earth if we choose to reject Him. The choice is yours.

Yea it's usually done by those acting out against something based on some sort of pride or trauma.

I used to do it in religious courses when I'd be on the atheist side of arguments. It was really trying to make it look bad because stumping Christian's that weren't ready for things made me feel smarter. It also tickled my detest of the people who used to use religion and status to make my family feel less about themselves publicly despite knowing how they acted behind closed doors.

Kept me away from religion until 26.

From pissantsoldiers story it just seems he's acting out against the faith that brought him up because he probably felt he was supposed to be a slave to it. Hence why he's so angry in his character when he talks about it. I used to be angry when talking about it as well.

Funny how now I am the opposite and am peace internally and faith in God is what I was missing while attacking him used to be what was causing me anger and pain.

It is not moral or just for a rapist to marry their victim and pay off the father. Are you insane?

If it was moral then to do that and then it is moral now to do the same. Otherwise, you don’t believe in objective moral values.

It’s the exact same problem Muslims have. They use the same reasoning that it was a different time and different cultures and values and that’s why it was okay for Muhammad to marry Aisha when she was 6 years old and “consummate” the marriage (rape) when she was 9.

If God had no problem with any of the two scenarios back then, they he can’t now unless you are telling me that it is all subjective. In which case, you need to drop the objective moral values or adopt divine command theory and say whatever God says to do is just, right and good. Which includes, if he asks for it, murdering babies. That can also be a very good and moral thing to do.

I’m more than happy to discuss the wider context and apologism for said scriptures. Which is precisely what I’ve done. Paul on the other hand is taking a rather heretical stance here and applying “Anakim” to the entire land and talking about bloodlines. It’s reading beyond the words and making assumptions despite Yahweh giving the reasons why he’s doing these things that don’t mention any Giants (Nephilim). Amelek for example. Same slaughter of the entire people because what happened when they (the Hebrews) left Egypt. Even suggesting that raping a woman, paying her father and marrying her is okay - by what moral measure? I don’t think anyone here thinks that’s okay.

God gave man free will, in it that free will man was taking women as sex slaves & having their way. God completely changed that on its head., & CONDEMNED this practice, to the point of the death penalty. Bible never permits slavery, nor rape. One could not take slaves. If one wanted a young woman they conquered she had to be treated as a citizen and married..

You must realize what was taking place in a historical context in all nations at the time, and see how God condemned that..Israel was prohibited the practice of forced slavery.

“Whoever kidnaps someone, either to sell him or to keep him as a slave, is to be put to death.” (Exodus 21:16)

In another passage Moses declares,

“If any of you kidnap Israelites and make them your slaves or sell them into slavery, you are to be put to death. In this way your nation will get rid of this evil.” (Deuteronomy 24:7)

In the first one there is a general prohibition against slavery of anyone and in the second a specific order against slavery of Israelites.

So again, cheery picking & quote mining is not helping you & only shows your complete ignorance on just another topic you post about as always

Now let’s look at what God declares for those that are the non-Israelites & how they are to be treated..

Deuteronomy 10:18-19

“He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing. Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.”

God here commands to love the stranger, to feed them, to clothe them.

Now let’s look at Leviticus 19:33-34

And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

So we see you falsely accuse the Judeo-Christian God of condoning the same as Muslims..wrong again. It took a long time to abolish involuntary slavery in the West, but it still exists not only in Muslim countries but others also. The people who opposed slavery in the West were Christians. Wilberforce of England was one of the great names. There is nothing in Islam to oppose slavery.

You also keep dodging questions, you could not explain how chemical reactions produce logical inference so maybe you can explain why as an atheist you can state slavery is wrong.

I’ll wait for both answers quote miner

Honestly, everything you post about is literally wrong. It’s clear you have never actually read the Bible.
