Mr. Ridgway

I am with you on this one.

Spent all weekend hungover as well. Will probably call in “sick” tomorrow from work due to hangover anxiety.

Need to stop. No more coping by “well I only drink on weekends” or “maybe I’ll stick to just beer”.

Plus, I want to start hitting the gym seriously again and bulk (I can’t bulk if I drink cause I don’t eat all weekend except 1 meal when hungover).

I wish I got the hype of sobriety. Being totally sober from drinking improves my life 0%. I used to be a borderline alchy and cutting down to moderate drinking (bout 4 drinks once or twice per week) was a gamechanger, but going totally sober doesn’t do chit except subtract some fun from my week.

Have been mulling this over, and have cut back majorly since I was basically an alcoholic during COVID. Also now that I'm approaching fifty it just isn't worth it health wise, and my body is starting to tell me to stop altogether. Good for you OP.

OP try it and be your own judge don't listen to this guy who gets drunk and smokes 50 cigs a day just to cope
It also gives withdrawls that can be worse than coming off opiates.

Whenever I feel like it pretty much. I've been drinking less lately but even then it still makes me feel chitty for multiple days after and effects my workouts, sleep, appetite, everything basically.

Maybe if I'm considering drinking I'll chug a gallon of milk first. Then I probably won't feel like drinking afterward.

Sheeit. It's usually 2 days for me too. If you drink twice per week that's 4 days of hangover. More than half the week spent hungover.

Good then use that money to buy steak/ground beef/eggs and go all in carnivore with me. You have no idea how good life feels without alcohol, being bloated all the time, inflamed, etc.

I don't wanna do full carnivore unless could afford steak every meal but I am gonna do an elimation diet and figure out what foods are messing with me. Beef and eggs are always fine for me so that's gonna be my main protein. And some fruits and rice for carbs.
